An X-ray generator uses a high electrical field generated when a hemimorphic crystal is heated or cooled. The crystal may be lithium niobate polarized in one direction. An X-ray target is placed inside a housing inside which a vacuum is maintained. A tungsten line containing thorium is placed between the crystal and the target. When the crystal is heated or cooled by a Pelletier element, an intense electrical field is generated around the crystal. Thermoelectrons released from the tungsten line accelerate as a result of the electrical field and collide with the X-ray target. The X-rays released at this time radiate through a beryllium window exteriorly of the housing. Intense X-rays are generated without using large scale equipment, such as a high voltage power source.

A rubber composition for a tire tread comprising (1) (i) 60 to 90 parts by weight of natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber, (ii) 10 to 35 parts by weight of a high cis polybutadiene rubber having a melt viscosity of 90 to 150 cps and a cis content of 90% by weight or more, and (iii) 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of an A-B type block copolymer composed of (A) a poly(styrene-butadiene) or polybutadiene block having a styrene content (St) of 0 to 35% by weight and a butadiene content (Bd) of 65 to 100% by weight, having a 1,2-vinyl bond content (Vn) of 5 to 80 mol %, and satisfying the relationship of Vn&lE;2St&plus;30 and (B) a polyisoprene block having a cis content of at least 70% by weight, in a ratio by weight (A)/(B) of 20 to 80/80 to 20, and (2) 40 to 60 parts by weight of carbon black having an N,SA of 125 m,/g or more.

A rubber composition for a tire tread comprising 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber and 35 to 60 parts by weight of a carbon black having a nitrogen specific surface area (N.sub.2 SA) of 120-150 m.sup.2 /g, a 24M4DBP of 95-110 ml/100 g, an N.sub.2 SA/IA of 0.95-1.05, a .DELTA.Dst of less than 70 nm, a Tint of more than 130, and a toluene discoloration (T%) of not less than 70% but less than 80%.

Moving object measurement device employing a three-dimensional analysis

A combinational weighing system with a plurality of article batch handling means has an article feeding means for feeding articles to be weighed into the individual article batch handling means, and after a desired combination or weights within a preselected range is determined by a computer, the article batches from the selected article batch handling means are discharged together to be made into a package. The system also includes a means for measuring the weight of the article accumulated on the article feeding means and the output signal from such a weight-measuring means is transmitted to control the operation of a conveyor for supplying the articles to the article feeding means.

Automatic weighing system

The present invention relates to a weighing device consisting of a feeder mounted on a framework placed below the discharging end of a conveyor loaded with the object to be weighed, such as peanuts, the feeder being equipped with a feed measurement device, and facing pool hoppers adjacent to the feeder or directly facing measure hoppers supported on load cells mounted on the framework. The present invention relates especially to a weighing device in which the feed measurement device consists of a weight measuring device such as a load cell, which is placed in between the feeder and the framework to support the feeder, and which controls the switching on and off of the drive, such as a motor, for the conveyor through a control unit including an amplifier and a low-pass filter.
