Knock-type writing instrument

A marking pen, comprising: a shaft cylinder; a porous pen core accommodated in the shaft cylinder, and configured to project from, and retract into, an opening part provided at a tip end of the shaft cylinder; an inner cotton accommodated in the shaft cylinder, and filled with an aqueous ink composition to be fed to the pen core, the aqueous ink composition including a water soluble organic solvent in an amount of from 20 mass % to 60 mass %; and a delivery mechanism configured to cause a tip end of the pen core to project from, and retract into, the opening part.

Marking pen

An applicator includes a valve mechanism that communicates an application liquid tank and an applying part. The valve mechanism has at least a valve stem and a valve holder for holding the valve stem therein, the application liquid can flow through a gap between the valve stem and the valve holder, the valve stem is formed with an air exchange hole, and, the air exchange hole can be opened and closed by an opening/closing member that opens/closes when the pressure on the application liquid tank side becomes negative or positive compared to that on the applying part side. The applicator is capable of exchanging air after discharging the application liquid even if the applicator is equipped with a valve mechanism that opens its valve by increasing the internal pressure of the ink tank.

Applicator

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus cover, first and second exposure units, and an orientation setting mechanism. The apparatus cover opens or closes by pivoting about a rotation fulcrum with respect to an apparatus body. The first exposure unit is disposed at a first position, on an inner surface, spaced apart from the rotation fulcrum. The second exposure unit is disposed at a second position, on the inner surface, closer than the first position to the rotation fulcrum. The orientation setting mechanism sets an orientation of the first exposure unit to a first direction approaching the apparatus body in a closed state. The orientation setting mechanism sets it to a second direction further away than the first direction from the rotation fulcrum and sets the orientation of the second exposure unit to a third direction between the first and second directions when the opening angle is a first angle.

An image reader device includes: an original placement part; a holder supporting the original placement part and forming, with the original placement part, a first boundary extending in a first direction; an image reading part movable in a vertical scan direction parallel to the first direction; and an open-close unit closable relative to the original placement part and including a press member which presses an original on the original placement part. The press member includes a first zone and a second zone arranged in the first direction. The first zone includes an extended portion extending beyond the first boundary from the original placement part to the holder when the open-close unit is located at a closed position.

Image reader device and image formation apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes an opening closing unit openably arranged between first and second positions and an associating mechanism connecting a body unit with the opening closing unit and operating in association with the opening closing unit. The associating mechanism includes plural compression springs and a buffer member, urges the opening closing unit with a first compression spring among the plural compression springs when the opening closing unit is placed at the first position, urges the opening closing unit with the first compression spring and a second compression spring when the opening closing unit is placed at a third portion between the first portion and the second position, and buffers the motion of the opening closing unit with the buffer member when the opening closing unit is placed at a fourth position between the second position and the third position.

An ink jet recording head () comprising edge shooter type head units () each having a head chip provided with a nozzle ejection surface, a positioning plate () for arranging the head units () in parallel to each other, inclined against a line arranging direction. The positioning plate () arranges the head units () in parallel to each other, inclined against the line arranging direction, and the angle of the inclination is set so that a nozzle interval, in the line arranging direction, of two nozzles () corresponds to a predetermined resolution, the two nozzles being adjacent to each other on a straight line on the nozzle ejection surface.

A resin composition for optics is disclosed, which mainly comprises a graft copolymer comprising a styrene resin and an aromatic polycarbonate each having a specific molecular weight at a specific ratio of molecular weight and weight, said composition having a micro disperse phase of not more than 0.5 .mu.m. The resin composition has a reduced optical strain and an excellent micro disperse phase and is, therefore, suitable for use as optics.
