A thermally conductive composition is provided, which has a base material; and at least one of a permittivity adjusting filler having a lower permittivity than the base material and a high permeability filler having a higher permeability than the base material. The entire thermally conductive composition has a relative permeability higher than 1 and a relative permittivity of 7 or lower.

Thermally conductive composition

A printed circuit board includes a printed wiring board having a mounting surface facing a first side, an electronic element provided on the mounting surface, a heat dissipation member disposed on the first side with respect to the electronic element, and a heat conduction member disposed between the electronic element and the heat dissipation member and having a first surface facing the first side and a second surface facing a second side opposite to the first side. The heat conduction member has a high relative magnetic permeability portion and a low relative dielectric constant portion. The high relative magnetic permeability portion surrounds the low relative dielectric constant portion on at least the second surface of the heat conduction member. At least part of the low relative dielectric constant portion overlaps the electronic element in a plan view seen in a direction perpendicular to the mounting surface.

An electromagnetic noise absorber to be attached around an electric cable to attenuate noise transmitted through the electric cable. The electromagnetic noise absorber comprises a strip-like base material and a plurality of ferrite pieces fixed to the strip-like base material. The plurality of ferrite pieces are formed by fixing a sheeted ferrite sintered body to the strip-like base material, and subsequently splitting the sheeted ferrite sintered body along split lines oblique with respect to a longitudinal direction of the strip-like base material. The electromagnetic noise absorber is wound around a circumference of the electric cable such that the split lines are parallel to an axial direction of the electric cable, thereby being attached in a spiral manner around the circumference of the electric cable.

Electromagnetic noise absorber

A soft hexagonal ferrite sintered material includes crystal particles of M-type hexagonal ferrite corresponding to a general chemical formula MFeOwherein M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ba, Sr and Pb. Crystal particles having particle diameters of 5 &#x3bc;m to 100 &#x3bc;m are extracted from a sintered material produced from a precursor powder mixture. The extracted particles as seed crystals are mixed with a calcined powder comprising fine crystals having the above composition and particle diameters of 0.5 &#x3bc;m to 3 &#x3bc;m, then is sintered until the intended particle growth of the crystal particles in the sintered material is achieved to give an average particle diameter of 30 &#x3bc;m to 500 &#x3bc;m.

Method for producing soft magnetic hexagonal ferrite sintered material and soft magnetic hexagonal ferrite sintered material

A radio wave absorber is provided which can be produced at a low cost compared to the case of using silicon carbide fiber and which is also superior in radio wave absorption property in 76 GHz band (75-77 GHz frequency band). The radio wave absorber is produced by arranging a radio wave absorbing layer onto the surface of a metal body. The radio wave absorbing layer is made of a radio wave absorbing material containing silicon carbide powder dispersed in matrix resin. Average particle diameter of the silicon carbide powder is 4-40 &#x3bc;m. Silicon carbide powder content in the radio wave absorbing material is 15-45 volume %. Thickness of the radio wave absorbing layer is adjusted so that reflection attenuation of not less than 10 dB is provided in 76 GHz band.

Radio wave absorber and production method thereof

A method of forming a magnetic body, alternative to a ferrite core, on a printed circuit board is provided. A printed circuit board is set in a mold and injection molding is conducted. The mold comprises a fixed plate, an intermediate plate and a movable plate. A cavity in the intermediate plate is filled with a melted material (i.e., mixture of resin and magnetic filler) supplied via a sprue and a runner. A cavity in the movable plate is also filled with the material supplied to the cavity in the intermediate plate through a hole in the printed circuit board. When a magnetic body for noise control is directly injection molded onto the printed circuit board in such a way, no gap appears between the magnetic body and the printed circuit board. As a result, the magnetic body functions well as desired.

Forming method of magnetic body and printed circuit board

A knitted or braided electromagnetic shielding material is formed by interweaving metallic or metal-clad wire rods, and each wire rod has a solder-plated layer on its surface. By heating the knitted or braided material, the wire rods are securely soldered to one another, thus preventing the knitted or braided material from loosening or disentangling, Furthermore, the contact resistance between the wire rods is reduced by the solder connections, thus enhancing the electromagnetic shielding effect of the knitted or braided material and further causing no difference in the electromagnetic shielding effect of the knitted or braided material in relation to its weaving direction. An electromagnetic shielding gasket clad with the knitted or braided material can be easily secured to a housing of electronic components, by using the solder-plated layers of the wire rods to melt the gasket thereto.

Electromagnetic shielding mesh

An electromagnetic-shielding gasket of the present invention shields electronic components from electromagnetic waves by covering a surface of a resilient core with metal mesh and inserting the core into a joint of a conductive housing which contains electronic components. The core comprises an installing portion which is fixed to the joint of the conductive housing. A segregating portion or area separates the metal mesh from the surface of the core in the corner portions so that when the core elastically deforms greatly during insertion or use of the gasket, the metal mesh does not break as the core presses and pulls the metal mesh.
