The support members simultaneously serve for mechanically supporting and providing for electrical connection of the oscillator. Angular velocity sensor

The present invention provides a drive circuit of an oscillation gyro including two piezoelectric elements formed in an oscillator, which includes an adding circuit for supplying a drive signal to one side faces of the two piezoelectric elements and adding signals obtained from the other side faces opposed to the one side faces of the piezoelectric elements, and an oscillation circuit adapted to be fed back with an addition output signal obtained by the adding circuit, wherein a sine wave signal obtained as an oscillation output of the oscillation circuit is supplied to the one side faces of the two piezoelectric elements as the drive signal. Thus, the drive circuit of the oscillation gyro which obtains the stable output with the simple configuration can be provided.

Drive circuit of oscillation gyro

An angular velocity sensor having a pillar-shaped vibrator and support members. The support members clamp the vibrator from above and below, at those parts where vibration nodes are formed when the vibrator vibrates. The support members mechanically support the vibrator and are electrically connected to the vibrator. The support members have an uppermost layer covered with a silver or gold coating at the electrically connected parts. Each support member has arms and connecting parts provided at the distal ends of the arms. The connecting parts have a notch each. The support members are electrically and mechanically connected with conductive adhesive provided in the notches, applied to both surfaces of the connecting part and containing silver particles as conductive filler.

Angular rate sensor

An angular rate sensor includes a quadratic prism-like oscillatorformed by laminating a substrateand a piezoelectric material, the piezoelectric materialis made of piezoelectric ceramics including PZT (Lead Zirconate Titanate) as a main component, and the substrateis made of a material other than PZT having physical property values equivalent to or less than PZT, which is a main component of the piezoelectric ceramics, with respect to Young's modulus, thermal expansion coefficient, and the like.

A magnetic head having excellent abrasion characteristics and a high playback output. The magnetic head is made up of a pair of magnetic core halves each having a single crystal ferrite at a portion thereof, said magnetic core halves being abutted and joined to each other, with a magnetic gap being formed between abutment surfaces of these magnetic core halves. The single crystal ferrite has its medium sliding surface, slidingly contacted with a magnetic recording medium, as a (411) plane, and also has the abutment surface as a (122) plane.

A magnetic head is provided which realizes long service life and high reliability by improved abrasion resistance without deteriorating output characteristics of the magnetic head during recording/reproduction. In a magnetic head having a pair of magnetic cores which are joined together to form a unified magnetic core and between abutment surfaces of which is formed a magnetic gap, a pair of magnetic cores are each formed by a single-crystal ferrite having a surface perpendicular to the abutment surfaces formed by the (100) plane. One of the magnetic cores is arranged so that an angle .theta. between the &lt;100&gt;crystal orientation in a surface perpendicular to the abutment surfaces and the abutment surfaces is in a range of 0.degree..gtoreq..theta..gtoreq.26.degree., while the other magnetic core is arranged so that an angle .theta. between the &lt;100&gt; crystal orientation in a surface perpendicular to the abutment surfaces and the abutment surfaces is in a range or 154.degree..gtoreq..theta..gtoreq.180.degree..

A magnetic head having a pair of magnetic core halves integrally bonded to each other, each magnetic core half being formed by a single-crystal ferrite piece and a polycrystal ferrite piece bonded together to constitute a junction ferrite, with a magnetic gap being defined between abutting surfaces of the magnetic core halves. The single-crystal ferrite pieces are arranged towards the abutting surfaces of the magnetic core halves and the polycrystal ferrite pieces are arranged on the opposite side of the abutting surfaces with respect to the single-crystal ferrite pieces. Preferably, the surface of the single-crystal ferrite piece having sliding contact with the magnetic recording medium, the gap surface of the single-crystal ferrite piece and the surface of the single-crystal ferrite piece corresponding to the lateral surface of the magnetic head are the (211) plane, (111) plane and the (110) plane, respectively. The directions of the &lt;100&gt;crystal axes within the plane (100) are symmetrical to each other on both sides of the magnetic gap. The magnetic head is low in sliding noise and superior in electro-magnetic conversion characteristics. In addition, the magnetic recording medium is superior in abrasion characteristics since the partial advancing abrasion is prohibited from occurring on its surface configured to have sliding contact with the magnetic recording medium.

Magnetic head

This invention provides a magnetic head suitably used for replay because of its giving a high output with a low noise. A magnetic head suitable for replay is provided which is made of a pair of magnetic cores 1 and 2 facing each other with a magnetic gap g.sub.1, in between and composed of composite ferrites consisting of monocrystal ferrites 9 and 11, and polycrystal ferrites 10 and 12 each containing 52-54 mol % of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, 24-26 mol % of ZnO and 20-24 mol % of MnO. Further, the monocrystal ferrites 9 and 11 are allowed to take the same orientation with a so-called VHS direction. Furthermore, the fusion glass 3 to bond the magnetic cores 1 and 2 is allowed to have a linear thermal expansion coefficient less by 20.times.l0.sup.-7 -26.times.10.sup.-7 than that of the composite ferrites composing the magnetic cores 1 and 2, at temperatures from 100.degree. to 350.degree. C.

In a magnetic head having a pair of magnetic cores defining a magnetic gap in-between, a side of each magnetic core facing a recording medium is formed of a single-crystal ferrite, with the remaining portions of each magnetic core being formed of poly-crystal ferrite. The surface of the magnetic core facing the recording medium and the abutment surface of the magnetic core are the {100} plane and the {100} plane of the single-crystal ferrite, respectively. The magnetic head has excellent abrasion resistance and electro-magnetic conversion characteristics.
