The invention discloses a connector for printed circuit board comprising a first contact piece with a spring contactor, a second contact piece with a spring contactor, and a body in which these spring contactors can be arranged at their positions deviated from each other in lengthwise direction and a printed circuit board can be inserted in and out obliquely between contact points of the spring contactors, characterized in that when the printed circuit board inserted obliquely in the body is situated in substantially horizontal state, the printed circuit board is tightly contacted with the contact points of the spring contactors, thereby electrical connection between the printed circuit board and the first and second contact pieces being exactly and appropriately insured over a long period irrespective of frequency in insertion in and out of the printed circuit board.

This invention discloses a connector for printed board connection comprising a first body having a plurality of first contacts to be connected with one printed wiring and a second body facing to the first contacts of the first body, in which the first body and the second body are turnably and detachably connected with each other, each end of the first contacts and each end of the second contacts are brought into contact with each other within a turning range, so that the printed boards may be easily and speedily connected with each other and that the arrangement of the printed boards may be freely selected while electrical connection therebetween being assured, maintenance being easily carried out and cost being saved thereby.

The invention discloses a method of manufacturing a jack comprising a step of punching a sheet metal by which a plurality of contact piece elements to be individual contact pieces of a jack are formed into a state of being partially connected to one another and arranged in parallel, a step of bending both ends of each contact piece element downward, a step of cutting off each contact piece element arranged in parallel by a cutter to form individual contact pieces, and a step of forcedly incorporating each contact piece into a jack body positioned right under a punching stroke of the cutter used in the cutting step whereby a complete automatization of the manufacturing is attained, considerably increasing productivity and decreasing an equipment cost as much.

This invention relates to a jack with recessed contacts, wherein a contact collection plate is formed by punching a metal plate. The contact collection plate includes a plurality of contacts which are arranged in the lateral direction of the contact collection plate so that they do not overlap one another when the contact collection plate is viewed in development. The jack also has a contact holding member of electrical insulating material within which one end of each contact is recessed. The plurality of contacts are formed by bending each part which is to become a contact relative to the recessed end.

This invention discloses a switch structure wherein a plurality of metallic contacts are recessed in a contact holding member of electrical insulating material, each contact is arranged not to overlap one another when each contact is developed on the same plane, and by bending a part not to be recessed of at least one contact a contact area is formed facing a corresponding contact area formed on the part not be recessed of another contact so as to perform a relative contacting and separating operation.

A jack having a jack case with an electrical contact switch adapted to be operated responsive to insertion and removal of a plug into and from the jack case along an insertion axis, the jack comprising: an insulating separator disposed with its longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the insertion axis, the separator having a projection at one end and the jack casing having a slot in one wall thereof for receiving the projection and enabling pivotal movement about the projection; and, the contact switch having a resilient contact piece which engages the other end of the separator and resilently positions the separator within the housing, such that upon plug insertion, the plug will engage an intermediate portion of the separator, thereby pivoting the separator, the separator engaging and moving the contact piece to operate the contact switch.

A jack for receiving a plug includes a detachable slide switch operated by a contact strip which engages the plug. Additional slide switches may be nested below the first slide switch, the entire stack being operated by the contact strip as the plug is inserted in the jack.
