An overhead wire tension balancer can prevent rotation of an inner cylinder connected with an overhead wire, without deteriorating rotation preventing function, even if stroke is increased, and does not complicate production steps. A rotation preventing plate is formed at the inside of an inner cylinder, and an opening which cannot rotate relative to the rotation preventing plate and which can relatively move in a condition which passes a long plate, is formed on the rotation preventing plate. The long plate is formed by two long plate pieces in an L shape in which a tip is bent, a hanging portion is formed by this bent portion and prevents the rotation preventing plate from disengaging from the long plate.

An overhead wire tension balancer can prevent an oil component in the tension balancer from scattering to the outside due to entry of rainwater. In an overhead wire tension balancer for supporting a spanned overhead wire while applying tension thereto, a gap that easily allows entry of rainwater is covered by a waterproof cover. As a result, the rainwater can be prevented from entering the inside of the overhead wire tension balancer, and the oil component separated from grease by entering rainwater can be prevented from scattering to the outside.

An overhead wire tension balancer has a water draining structure and can prevent lubricating oil in the tension balancer from scattering to the outside. The overhead wire tension balancer is for supporting a spanned overhead wire while applying tension thereto, and rainwater collecting inside the overhead wire tension balancer is collected from a collecting pipe connecting part into a collecting tank through a collecting pipe. The oil content of grease applied to the inside of the overhead wire tension balancer is prevented from scattering to the outside even if the oil content is carried together with the rainwater.

A lid apparatus for opening/closing an opening of a main body includes a lid with working and back faces. An arm attaches the lid to the main body to be operable for opening/closing. The arm includes a first axis pivotally supporting the arm on the main body around the opening, and a second axis swingably supporting the back face of the lid on the arm. The second axis is located between the gravity center of the lid and the first axis. A regulatory member intervenes between the arm and the back face of the lid to set the working face of the lid in parallel with the opening.
