A thermoplastic resin having such a sufficient heat shock resistance that it is unbroken by common temperature changes when applied to an insert molded article, which is obtained by blending a thermoplastic polyester resin (A) with 1-25% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an impact resistance giving agent (B), 1-50% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an inorganic filler (C) and 0.1-10% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an aromatic polyvalent carboxylate (D).

Polyester resin composition

To provide a thermoplastic polyester resin composition which has a very good durability to alkaline solutions for a long period of time. That is, a thermoplastic polyester resin composition, wherein a thermoplastic polyester resin (A) is compounded with 1-25% by weight (in the total composition) of impact resistance rendering materials (B), 0.1-15% by weight (in the total composition) of a silicone compound and/or a fluorine compound (C), 1-50% by weight (in the total composition) of an inorganic filler (D), and 0.1-10% by weight of at least one polyfunctional compound (E) selected from the group consisting of an epoxy compound, an isocyanate compound and a carboxylic acid dianhydride. A molded article of the present invention has anti-stress properties even in a weld part thereof.

Thermoplastic polyester resin composition

A thermoplastic resin having such a sufficient heat shock resistance that it is unbroken by common temperature changes and also exhibiting an excellent flame resistance when applied to an insert molded article, which is obtained by blending a thermoplastic polyester resin (A) with 1-25% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an impact resistance giving agent (B), 1-50% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an inorganic filler (C), 1-25% by weight to the total amount of the composition of a flame retardant (D) and 0.1-10% by weight to the total amount of the composition of an aromatic polyvalent carboxylate (E).

Flame-retardant polyester resin composition

A thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin such as polybutylene terephthalate, (B) a rubber-modified styrenic resin such as an ABS resin, (C) an olefinic copolymer composed of (c-1) an olefinic polymer fragment and (c-2) a vinyl-series polymer fragment and (D) a branched ester obtainable from a C.sub.16-30 fatty acid and/or alcohol having at least one branched chain, and which may contain (E) an inorganic filler, (F) a flame-retardant, (G) an inorganic flame-retardant auxiliary and so on. This resin composition has improved friction/abrasion characteristics with maintaining its high mechanical characteristics, and is useful for providing a moulded article including a sliding member.

Polyacetal resin composition

Polyacetal resin compositions have excellent weather resistance and environment resistance, which suppress resin deterioration/discoloration, crack and discoloration caused by additive bleeding during extended exposure to light while maintaining the initial molded product surface condition. The polyacetal compositions include a blend of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal resin, with the specific amounts of (B) an acrylic resin, (C) an oxyalkylene polymer having chains of 2 to 8 consecutive carbon atoms, (D) a UV absorber and (E) two kinds of the hindered amine compounds each having a different molecular weight.

Polyacetal resins can selectively be reduced in terms of surface gloss by the addition of a core-shell polymer. The core-shell polymer which serves as the surface gloss reducing agent is one which has a rubbery polymer as its core, and a glassy vinyl copolymer having an oxygenic group (e.g., a hydroxyl or glycidyl group) as its shell. Preferably, the core-shell polymer is emulsion polymerized in sequential stages to form the core and shell polymers by use of an oligomeric surfactant. The core-shell polymer is most preferably present in the polyacetal compositions in an effective amount of between 1 to 50 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the polyacetal base resin.

Polyacetal compositions having surface gloss reducing effective amounts

Moldable weather-resistant polyacetal resin compositions exhibiting low surface gloss characteristics are a melt-blend of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal base resin, (B) between 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a weather stabilizer, and (C) a surface gloss reducing effective amount of between 1 to 50 parts by weight of a core-shell polymer having a rubbery polymer as the core and a glassy vinyl copolymer having at least one oxygenic polar group as the shell. Molded articles formed of such polyacetal compositions exhibit weather-resistance properties and a reduced surface gloss of at least 35%. Moreover, the ability to imprint a grain-like appearance on the surfaces of the molded articles is enhanced.

A weather-resistantt polyacetal molding composition are comprised of a polyacetal base resin, and a weather-resistance effective amount of a stabilization package which includes (i) a weather stabilizer for the polyacetal base resin, (ii) an acrylic resin, and (iii) an oxyalkylene polymer comprised of repeating oxyalkylene units each having 2 to 8 adjacent carbon atoms.

Weather-resistant polyacetal resin compositions and molded articles formed of the same include a polyacetal base resin, and a weather-resistant effective amount of a weather stabilizing package comprised of (i) a weather stabilizer that is at least one selected from the group consisting of benzotriazoles, benzophenones, aromatic benzoates, cyanoacrylates, oxalanilides and hindered amines (ii) a homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic or methacrylic acid, or ester derivatives thereof, and (iii) a fluororesin.
