In a continuous molding apparatus equipped with a long corehaving a curvature disposed on a plane, a release film supplied from a lower release film feederis sent onto the core, and prepreg sheets supplied from a prepreg sheet feederare laminated thereon and preformed. A release film supplied from a release film feederis disposed on top of the laminated body, before the body is sent into a hot press. A pullermoves the laminated body without loading tension thereto. The laminated body enters a postcure devicein which thermosetting of the material is completed.

The present invention treats crushed pieces of a nonmetallic honeycomb panel together with a process water under high-temperature and high-pressure for a predetermined time so as to separate components. Water or alkali-added water is used as process water. The method comprises a first process for treating the crushed pieces for a predetermined time with the water heated and pressurized to a subcritical range to hydrolyze aromatic polyamide, and a second process for treating the same with the water heated and pressurized to a supercritical range, wherein the aromatic polyamide is hydrolyzed and separated in the first process, and dehalogenation is carried out in the second process.

The holder support device permits the position of the inner end of the holder to be adjusted along the X-, Y-, and Z-axes and about the angular position about the X-axis. The support device has an inner cylinder rotatably held to an outer cylinder. The inner cylinder is provided with a holder through-hole and a pin guide hole. The holder is slidably held in the holder through-hole. The pin guide hole guides a pin on the holder when it is inserted into the holder through-hole. The outer cylinder is provided with a circumferential guide hole and axial guide holes.

Holder support device

A device for continuously manufacturing an FRP square pipe includes a core having a long length for laminating prepreg sheets thereto, and prepreg sheets are supplied from prepreg-sheet laminating devices and to said core covered with a release film, said laminated sheets laminated into the shape of a square pipe. Said core has an outer diameter size smaller than the inner diameter size of the square pipe to be manufactured. A pre-expansion device expands said laminated prepreg sheets to the shape of a square pipe having a predetermined inner diameter size, and a hot press device heats and pressurizes the pipe. The pipe is then additionally heated in a postcure furnace to complete the forming process. A pulling device arranged downstream of a cramp device pulls out said square pipe intermittently. A cutter not shown cuts said square pipe to produce the desired product.

Continuous forming device of fiber reinforced plastic square pipe

A continuous forming method and device for an H-shaped FRP member for forming semi-hardened preimpregnated members produced by impregnating thermosetting resin to carbon fiber or glass fiber and the like into a predetermined H-shape. The forming device comprises of a device for mounting a plural number of bobbins having strip-shaped preimpregnated material spooled thereto, providing tension when pulling the impregnated material out from the bobbin. The device the shapes the preimpregnated material to a predetermined H-shape that feeds release films from four sides of upper, lower, left and right. The device then provides heat and pressure to the preimpregnated material from said four sides with a heating furnace for after-curing the preimpregnated material. The device then hauls and holds the preimpregnated material for cutting the cured product.

Continuous forming method and device for H-shaped FRP member

A heater unit mounted on a tray utilizes a PTC heater having a positive temperature coefficient (PTC), and a sheet heater superposed thereto. The PTC heater includes PTC members buried within an insulating substrate and on both sides of the PTC members are placed copper foils functioning as electrodes. When the PTC heater is heated up to a preset temperature, the electric resistance of the heater is increased greatly, and the heating is stopped, maintaining the preset temperature. The sheet heater contributes to reduce the time the heater needs to rise to the preset temperature during initial startup.

A heating roller,comprises a surface layer,formed of a prepreg material including carbon fibers having a high tensile strength and a high elastic modulus, and a heating unit,mounted in the inner area of the surface layer and communicated to a power supply unit,formed of a prepreg material including carbon fibers having a high electric resistance. A metal material working as an electrode,communicated to the power supply unit,and the heating unit,is mounted to both ends of the heating roller,The electric resistance of the heating unit,is adjusted either by changing the thickness (number of laminated layers) of the prepreg material including carbon fibers, or by adjusting the mounting angle of the carbon fibers inside a prepreg material being laminated and the angle of the carbon fibers inside another prepreg material being laminated. Moreover, the carbon fibers of the heating unit,are uniformly mounted in the circumferential direction of the roller, so as to obtain a uniform surface temperature.

Heating roller

A simple specimen-holding device for use with an ultra-high resolution transmission electron microscope. The device comprises a cylindrical support member inserted in the specimen chamber of the microscope, a spherical bearing formed on the inner surface of the front end of the support member, a first pipe, a second pipe rotatably mounted inside the first pipe, a third pipe mounted in the second pipe, a specimen-holding rod, bellows between the second and third pipes, an isolation valve mounted between the first pipe and the specimen chamber, and a mechanism for opening and closing the isolation valve, utilizing rotation of the second pipe. The first pipe is swung about the spherical bearing by at least a y-motion drive means and z-motion drive means. The third pipe can be slid by an x-motion drive means. The rod is slidably mounted in the third pipe via an O-ring.

Specimen-holding device for electron microscope

A device to control vertical vibration of a building caused by seismic disturbance. Air springs are positioned and secured between the building foundation and the building superstructure to attenuate vertical vibration of the building. Vertical support rails are secured to the foundation and/or to the building superstructure on opposite sides of, and adjacent to, the air springs. Horizontal connecting brackets are rigidly secured to the air springs and slidably secured to the adjacent rails. The brackets restrain horizontal deflection of the air springs without interfering with vertical reciprocation of the air springs.

Vertical vibration control device

An electron microscope capable of performing accurate X-ray analysis. A specimen stage on which a specimen to be investigated is placed, is disposed between the upper and lower magnetic pole pieces of the objective lens. The specimen is irradiated with the electron beam to detect X-rays emitted from the specimen. The specimen stage consists of a light element, such as beryllium, that produces a very small amount of X-rays when irradiated with the electron beam. A metal film of a heavy element, such as gold, is deposited on the upper surface of the specimen stage. This metal film produces a large amount of X-rays when irradiated with the electron beam. The X-rays emitted from the lower magnetic pole piece are absorbed by the metal film. Consequently, the X-ray detector of the microscope detects only the X-rays produced from the specimen.

Electron microscope

An electron microscope capable of performing accurate x-ray analysis is provided. An objective lens having a bottom polepiece from which unwanted x-rays are not produced is attached to the electron microscope. An EDS (energy-dispersive x-ray spectrometer) detector is also attached to the electron microscope to make an x-ray analysis. A film consisting of a light element such as beryllium is coated on the top surface and the tapering portion of the bottom polepiece to prevent the electron beam transmitted through the sample or the secondary electrons and the scattered electrons emanating from the sample from colliding against the surface of the bottom polepiece; otherwise x-rays characteristic of Fe and Co would be generated.

A side-entry specimen holder for use with a transmission electron microscope. The holder comprises a specimen-holding plate and an insertion rod. The holding plate is provided with a hole permitting passage of the electron beam produced inside the microscope. Either a specimen or a piece of mesh on which a specimen is placed is held inside the hole. An engaging hole is formed at one end of the holding plate. The insertion rod has a pin at its front end. The pin is engaged in the engaging hole to detachably hold the holding plate. Thus, the insertion rod is coupled to the holding plate.
