A shift device for a vehicle has a D-switch operation unit corresponding to a drive range, an N-switch operation unit corresponding to a neutral range, an R-switch operation unit corresponding to a reverse range, and a P-switch operation unit corresponding to a parking range. The R-switch operation unit is operated toward the back in the front-back direction of the vehicle to select the reverse range, and the switch operation units other than the R-switch operation unit are pressed downward from above to select respective ranges. The direction of operation of the R-switch operation unit is set to differ from the directions of operation of the other switch operation units when selecting a range other than the reverse range.

Shift device for vehicle

There is provided a shift control device which is provided in a shift operation unit including: a plurality of shift positions corresponding to states of a transmission; a shift lever which selects one of the plurality of shift positions; a home position to which the shift lever automatically returns; and a shift position detecting unit which outputs a shift position signal when the shift lever is positioned in one of the plurality of shift positions, the shift control device detecting, when the shift position signal is input to the shift control device for more than a recognition time period set for the shift position where the shift lever is positioned, that the shift position is selected or that the shift operation unit has a failure, and including a deterioration state detecting unit which detects a deterioration degree of the shift operation unit, wherein the recognition time period is changed in accordance with the deterioration degree.

Shift control device

A shift apparatus includes a shift lever operable to select a first mode of a transmission when the shift lever is disposed at a first position and to select a second mode of the transmission when the shift lever is disposed at a second position, and a base supporting the shift lever. The shift lever automatically returns to a home position after selecting the first mode or the second mode. When moving the shift lever from the home position to the first position to select the first mode, the shift lever is moved in a first direction and then in a second direction which is different from and not directly opposite to the first direction. When moving the shift lever from the first position to the second position to select the second mode, the shift lever is moved in a third direction which is different from the first and second directions and not directly opposite to the second direction.

Shift apparatus

An actuator holding structure for a vehicle has: a first retainer attached to the housing; a second retainer attached to the piston rod; and, a plurality of protruded engaging portions formed on the outer peripheral surface of the housing, wherein the piston rod is held in the retracted condition while the first retainer and the second retainer are engaging together, and when the first retainer is released from engaging with the second retainer, and the piston rod is allowed to be extended and retracted, wherein the first retainer includes a first lateral belt for peripherally holding a part of the housing by engaging with the protruded engaging portions while the first retainer and the second retainer are engaging together, and a second lateral belt for peripherally holding the other part of the housing opposite to the first lateral belt so as to be latched and unlatched.
