To obtain a power conversion device reduced in size and weight wherein heat generated from a capacity module is sufficiently dissipated, thus enabling prevention of a rise in the temperature of the capacity module. The power conversion device includes a first cooler which, having mounted thereon the capacity module, cools heat generated from the capacity module; a second cooler which, having mounted thereon a semiconductor module, cools heat generated from the semiconductor module; and a heat dissipation plate which, being thermally connected to the capacity module and to the second cooler, dissipates via the second cooler one portion of the heat generated from the capacity module, wherein the first and second coolers, being disposed so as to form a refrigerant flow path, both share a refrigerant.

Power conversion device

Provided is a current control apparatus including a first cooler that cools a switch element, a bus bar connected to the switch element, a core penetrated by the bus bar, a magneto-electric transducer, which is inserted into the core in order to detect a value of a current supplied to the switch element, a controller that controls the switch element, a case, and a cover, wherein the core includes an exposed disposal structure in which a part of the core is exposed to the exterior of the case as an exposed portion, and the current control apparatus further includes a divided cooling structure in which the exposed portion is cooled without being affected by the temperature of the first cooler that cools the switch element.

A discharge device provided with a switching unit configured by a first switch element and a second switch element connected in series, a first power storage element connected in parallel with both ends of the switching unit, a second power storage element connected in parallel with both ends of the second switch element, and a control unit which controls on/off switching of the first switch element and the second switch element in such a manner that a portion of the energy charged in the first power storage element is charged and discharged at least once by the second power storage element, and the energy charged in the first power storage element is discharged while being consumed in one or all of the first switch element and the second switch element.

Discharge device

A discharge device includes a switch element connected in parallel to an electrical storage element; a constant current output unit which supplies a constant current to the switch element; and a control unit which gives an on or off instruction to the constant current output unit, wherein a configuration is such that the control unit controls the constant current output unit so as to cause energy with which is charged in the electrical storage element to be discharged while being consumed by the switch element, and within an optional time for which an energization current of the switch element reaches a limiting current of the switch element, turn off the switch element in a region in which the energization current is lower than the limiting current.

A switching device driving apparatus for preventing arm short circuit is provided, including: a first switching device driving unit for receiving a control signal for controlling a first switching device and a second switching device so that they will not turn ON at the same time and outputting an ON/OFF drive signal to the first switching device; and a second switching device driving unit for receiving the control signal and outputting an ON/OFF drive signal to the second switching device, in which the first switching device driving unit outputs a drive signal for increasing the delay of the ON timing of the first switching device with respect to the OFF timing of the second switching device with increase in ambient temperature.

The size of a reactor is reduced in a power supply device whose load circuit includes a second DC power supply. Power supply device including a second DC power supply in its load circuit

A power supply apparatus capable of setting a ripple current to be not more than an acceptable value regardless of an input voltage is obtained. The apparatus calculates switching frequency by a current detected by a current detector so that the switching frequency is set to be low if the current is large and the switching frequency is set to be high if the current is small. The switching frequency is set to be high if the input voltage is high and switching frequency is set to be low if the input voltage is low depending on a voltage inputted to an input terminal; and a switching element is controlled by restricting the switching frequency so that the switching frequency to be set by the current detected by the current detector is not lower than the switching frequency to be set by the input voltage.

Power supply apparatus

A power supply device capable of switching over semiconductor switches of a synchronous rectification means so as to efficiently charge up a battery in response to its charging status is provided. The device includes a switch control means for controlling the semiconductor switches in response to the battery charging status; a negative voltage detection means for detecting a negative voltage at each phase of three-phase AC voltages; and a voltage detection means for detecting the battery voltage being higher than a predetermined voltage, wherein when the negative voltage or the battery voltage higher than the predetermined voltage is detected, the switch control means controls the semiconductor switches. The device further includes an abnormality detection means for monitoring the negative voltage detected by the negative voltage detection means and thereby detecting an abnormality in at least one of the three phases, and when an abnormality is detected, the switch control means controls the semiconductor switch corresponding to the phase of the abnormality.

Power supply device

A power supply device includes a failure determination means that detects, based on a current detected by a current detector, a failure of the switching elements of each of the chopper sections, and the failure determination means obtains values of the current detected by the current detector at the timing of falling edges of control signals to the switching elements of each of the chopper sections, determines the failure when the obtained current values differ from each other, and transmits a failure signal to a generation control means. When receiving the failure signal, the generation control means limits an output current from a generator in a way such that the withstanding current of a non-failed chopper section out of the chopper sections of the phases is not exceeded.
