Provided is a technology capable of generating and presenting more kinds of special light images with higher image quality. An endoscope system according to the present disclosure performs image processing using a G1 image data (image data obtained by irradiating light of 524±3 nm to 582±3 nm) and at least one of R1 image (image data obtained by irradiating light of 630±3 nm to 700±3 nm) data other than the G1 image data, B1 image data (452±3 nm to 502±3 nm), R2 image data (image data obtained by irradiating light of 582±3 nm to 630±3 nm), G2 image data (image data obtained by irradiating light of 502±3 nm to 524±3 nm), and B2 image data (image data obtained by irradiating light of 420±3 nm to 452±3 nm) so as to generate a special light image (FIG.).

Endoscope system

An endoscope system includes: a processor that generates first and second feature amount distribution images of a living tissue from an imaged image of the living tissue and generates a second feature amount distribution processed image from these distribution images; and a display that displays the second feature amount distribution processed image. The processor generates a mask image of the second feature amount distribution image by, in the first feature amount distribution image, setting a pixel whose pixel value representing the first feature amount is less than a lower limit value as a non-transmissive pixel having a transmittance of zero and setting a pixel between an upper limit value and the lower limit value as a transmissive pixel while giving the pixel a transmittance determined continuously or stepwise in accordance with the pixel value in the first feature amount distribution image.

Endoscope system and image display device

An endoscope system includes an endoscope with an image pickup that generates image data by capturing an image of tissue illuminated with light containing wavelength regions spaced from and not overlapping with each other. The image pickup has an RGB filter, the wavelength regions include first and second regions corresponding to a B region and to a G region of the filter. A processor calculates an index representing a molar concentration ratio of first and second biological substances contained in the tissue based on the image data including information on the first and second regions. In the first region, image data B of the tissue varies depending on the molar concentration ratio, the second region contains isosbestic points of the tissue, and, in the second region, image data G has a constant value. The processor calculates the index based on the data B and G.

Image capturing system and electronic endoscope system

An endoscope apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a light source apparatus; an imager that has an image sensor and generates color image data by imaging biological tissue illuminated by light emitted by the light source apparatus; and a feature amount acquisitioner that acquires a feature amount of the biological tissue based on the color image data. The feature amount acquisitioner includes: a first parameter generator that, based on the color image data, generates a first parameter that has sensitivity to a first feature amount of the biological tissue, but substantially does not have sensitivity to light scattering by the biological tissue; and a first feature amount acquisitioner that acquires the first feature amount based on the first parameter.

Endoscope apparatus

An endoscope system includes a processor and displays a distribution image of living substance feature amounts obtained from an imaged image of a living tissue. The processor calculates the living substance feature amount in the living tissue, for example, an amount of hemoglobin and oxygen saturation of the hemoglobin using components of color image data of the living tissue illuminated with at least two lights, generates the feature amount distribution image illustrating a distribution of the living substance feature amounts, and controls display of the feature amount distribution image in order to display the generated feature amount distribution image so as to be superimposed on the image of the living tissue.

An analysis device includes a wavelength selection unit that alternatively extracts first special light and second special light from light emitted from the light source device, an image sensor that includes a RGB color filter, and a signal processing unit. In this configuration, the first special light includes light in a first wavelength region and the second special light includes light in a second wavelength region that is different from the first wavelength region. The signal processing unit calculates an indicator that indicates a feature amount of biological tissue based on a pixel signal that corresponds to the light in the first wavelength region and a pixel signal that corresponds to the light in the second wavelength region, and generates a color captured image based on a pixel signal that corresponds to light that passes through the RGB color filter.

Method and device for generating image showing concentration distribution of biological substances in biological tissue

An image capturing system, comprising: a light source device that emits illumination light containing wavelength regions; an image pickup device having an RGB filter; and an image processing unit to calculate a first index representing a molar concentration ratio of a first biological substance and a second biological substance contained in the living tissue, wherein the wavelength regions comprise: a first wavelength region corresponding to a B filter; and a second wavelength region corresponding to a G filter, wherein: in the first wavelength region, a value of image data B varies depending on the molar concentration ratio; the second wavelength region contains a plurality of isosbestic points of the living tissue, and, in the second wavelength region, a value of image data G takes a constant value without depending on the molar concentration ratio.

An analyzing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a light source apparatus; an image sensor that generates color image data by capturing an image of biological tissue illuminated by light generated by the light source apparatus; an indicator calculation unit that calculates an indicator X that indicates a feature amount Q of the biological tissue, based on the color image data; and a feature amount acquisition unit that acquires the feature amount Q based on the indicator X. The feature amount acquisition unit includes a contribution calculation unit that calculates a contribution C based on at least two colors of single-color image data included in the color image data, the contribution C of scattering on a spectral characteristic of the biological tissue. Also, the feature amount acquisition unit acquires the feature amount Q based on the indicator X and the contribution C.

A spectral characteristic calculation device stores a plurality of conversion matrices used to calculate the spectral characteristic values based on brightness values of a digital color image, and a plurality of pieces of brightness value information respectively corresponding to a plurality of sample groups. The plurality of conversion matrices are generated based on the sample color image information contained in the plurality of sample groups, respectively. An evaluating unit is configured to evaluate similarity of brightness value information of the target data with respect to each of the plurality of pieces of brightness value information of the plurality of sample groups. A conversion matrix corresponding to the sample group that is evaluated to have the highest similarity is selected as the conversion matrix. Spectral characteristic calculating device and method

A color space transformation matrix calculating method is provided that calculates a color space transformation matrix which transforms colors in a first color space to colors in a second color space. The method optimizes a plurality of constant color-space transformation matrices, so that each of the constant color-space transformation matrices is adjusted to transform each standard color in the first color space to each goal color in the second color space, which correspond to each of the standard colors. The method further calculates interpolation functions for each matrix element of a color-space transformation matrix applied for the entire gamut of the first color space, based on the constant color-space transformation matrices.
