Cargo container

A method of handling bulk cargo, including suspending, with a spreader of a container crane, a cargo handling system above a dock where a ship loaded with bulk cargo lands, the cargo handling system including a frame having an engaging portion engageable with the spreader of the container crane, a blower attached to the frame and configured to suck air, and a separator attached to the frame and configured to separate bulk cargo sucked along with the air from the air sucked by the blower. While the cargo handling system is suspended above the dock, using the cargo handling system to suck up the bulk cargo from the ship with the blower of the cargo handling system together with the air; separate the bulk cargo from the air with the separator of the cargo handling system; and discharge the separated bulk cargo from the cargo handling system.

Container ship and container handling method

As devices are often different in the characteristics from one another, semiconductor chips based on the devices have discrepancies in the performance. Semiconductor device

A high-potential side power device driving circuit has a clock signal generation circuit generating the so-called internal clock signal by outputting a pulse in a constant cycle for driving NMOS transistors and an iterative pulse generation circuit monitoring the state of an external input signal in synchronization with an output signal of the clock signal generation circuit, receiving a pulsing input signal generated with reference to a ground potential and generating pulsing ON and OFF signals. Thus provided is a level shifting circuit capable of preventing a power device from a malfunction also when a dv/dt transient signal is supplied with time difference.

A large-time-constant microphone filter which contains resistance and capacitance as its constituent and can be formed in the same semiconductor chip as a microphone unit is achieved, which results in downsizing and cost reduction of the microphone unit. A transistor of a current mirror circuit is used as a resistance of a microphone filter, utilizing a differential resistance produced by a channel length modulation effect of the transistor or an Early effect. When variations in the drain-source voltage of the transistor occur, the drain-source current of the transistor slightly varies in linear characteristics and the transistor serves a high value of resistance. Being a current mirror circuit, the microphone filter is resistant to characteristic variations due to temperature changes and can be formed in a semiconductor chip without a significant increase in chip area.

Microphone filter and microphone unit

A pressure switch with improved sealing of an airtight chamber, and improved electrical characteristics reducing chattering, increasing response rate, and minimizing the pressure necessary for activation. The pressure switch includes an upper substrate with a diaphragm readily deformed by an applied stress, a lower substrate overlapped with the upper substrate to form the airtight chamber, a contact electrically switched in response to the deformation of the diaphragm, and a sealing member continuously surrounding the airtight chamber, disposed between the first and second substrate, and hermetically sealing the airtight chamber.

Pressure switch

To obtain a pressure detection apparatus capable of changing output characteristics in a large area and changing a received pressure range without largely changing the apparatus in design. The apparatus comprises a pressure sensor including a pressure detection element having a bridge circuit to which a gauge resistor formed around a diaphragm portion formed by decreasing a part of the element in thickness is connected and an amplification circuit body serving as an amplification circuit except for an adjustment resistor, the pressure sensor being airtightly accommodated in a package having a pressure supply portion for supplying a pressure to be measured to the diaphragm portion, and a lead portion being disposed in the pressure sensor; an adjustment resistor part constituting the amplification circuit of the bridge circuit together with the amplification circuit body; a circuit substrate which is mounted by soldering to expose the pressure sensor and the adjustment resistor part and has a terminal portion for leading out an output from the amplification circuit; and a sensor accommodation vessel for accommodating an assembly constituted by the pressure sensor, the adjustment resistor part, and the circuit substrate therein.

Pressure detection apparatus

A sensor device includes a voltage-to-pulse-number converter having a timing controller. When power is supplied to the converter from a power circuit through a power line, a timer circuit inhibits itself from performing a control operation until operations of a sensor and an amplifier become stable. After a predetermined period of time has passed, the inhibition of the controls is canceled. Then, an analog-to-digital (A-D) conversion of an output of the amplifier by the A-D converter is performed. Subsequently, a counter counts down from a value obtained from the A-D conversion. When the output of the counter becomes 0, the operation of the counter is stopped. Clock signals used for the operation of the counter are input to the pulse output circuit which is enabled only when the counter operates. Thereby, the timing controller outputs to an event counter a pulse signal having a number of pulses proportional to an output of the sensor. The sensor device obtains high precision data. Further, the power consumption of the sensor device is reduced. Consequently, the load imposed on a microcomputer is lightened.

Sensor device

A method of controlling operation of a DC motor including the steps of detecting the level of acceleration caused by the rotation of the output shaft of the DC motor; determining the square root of the detected level of acceleration; and supplying the DC motor with a driving voltage which is determined in accordance with the difference between the square root of the acceleration and a voltage command. This method is carried out by an apparatus which includes a power supply for supplying an electric power to the DC motor; a rotary member rotatable in accordance with the rotation of the output shaft of the DC motor; an acceleration sensor provided on the rotary member for detecting the acceleration of acting on the rotary member; a square root circuit for computing the square root of the output from the acceleration sensor; and a differential amplifier circuit for supplying the DC motor with a voltage which is determined in accordance with the difference between the voltage of the power supply and the output voltage of the square root circuit.

Method of and apparatus for controlling motor

A semiconductor acceleration system for detecting acceleration by outputting an electrical signal includes a diagnostic circuit for detecting failures in an output amplifier of the system. The system includes strain gauge resistors on a semiconductor substrate and connected in a bridge circuit. The output terminals of the bridge circuit are connected to an output amplifier. The diagnostic circuit includes two constant current sources producing different constant current flows and respectively connected to the two output terminals of the bridge circuit. When a switch is closed connecting the constant current sources to ground so that the constant currents flow through two of the strain gauge resistors, the output signal of the amplifier is observed. The output signal with the switch open and closed discloses the existence of a fault in the output amplifier circuit and the location of that fault.

Semiconductor acceleration detecting device

A semiconductor acceleration detecting device provided with a pedestal electrically and mechanically connected to an electrode mounted on a base with an electrically conductive adhesive, a semiconductor chip electrically and mechanically connected to the pedestal with an electrically conductive adhesive like a cantilever, and a strain gauge for detecting deformation of the semiconductor chip due to an applied acceleration. Current used for detecting detachment flows from the electrode into a wire connected to a grounding terminal through the pedestal and the semiconductor chip. Moreover, a detachment between the base and the pedestal or between the pedestal and the semiconductor chip is sensed by detecting whether the current flows normally. Thereby, erroneous acceleration of the object can be prevented from being measured.
