A vehicle data recording unit for installation in a motor vehicle having a housing. Within the housing is an electronic memory and control unit and a battery receptacle for receiving a buffer battery for the memory and control unit. The battery receptacle has a battery compartment delimited by a first stop and a second stop, situated opposite the first stop, for holding a first buffer battery between the first stop and the second stop. To make it easy to use buffer batteries of different physical sizes, a third stop is arranged between the first stop and the second stop, which has a smaller length than the first buffer battery, in the battery compartment between the third stop and the first stop, such that optionally the first buffer battery or the second buffer battery can be held in the battery compartment.

A vehicle data recording device wherein the housing is connected to a first supporting limb and a second supporting limb of the supporting bracket in such a way that it can pivot about a pivoting axis, wherein the pivoting axis is arranged above a housing central axis with respect to the height of the housing, and wherein the smallest distance between the pivoting axis and a mounting plate, connecting the supporting limb, of the supporting bracket is larger than the largest distance between the pivoting axis and a rear-side housing wall of the housing, with the result that the supporting bracket can be pivoted through an angle of 180&#xb0; over a housing rear side, between a first position in a region underneath a housing lower side and a second position in a region above the housing upper side.

Vehicle data recording device

An onboard information system having an antenna for receiving satellite-based geoposition data. The onboard information system includes a housing that can be installed in a vehicle interior and a module for processing satellite-based geoposition data. The antenna for receiving satellite-based geoposition data is arranged on the housing such that in the installed state a reception direction of the antenna points toward the vehicle interior. The onboard information system can be used particularly in a vehicle as a tachograph, preferably as a digital tachograph, and/or toll collection appliance.

An onboard information system for vehicles, including a housing in which a computation unit and a first mass memory are arranged and are connected to one another for the purpose of data transfer. The system includes a support that can at least to some extent be moved out of the housing and which has a data interface for a second mass memory, which data interface is connected to the computation unit for the purpose of data transfer.

A printer with an elongated media output port is disclosed. The printer may be used for a digital tachograph of a motor vehicle. The printer includes at least one bearing surface which limits the media output in the transverse direction and along which the printing medium slides during output. The boundary conditions for the operation of a small-format printer in a digital tachograph of a motor vehicle makes it necessary that the media output port has to be sealed off against the ingress of harmful media. Therefore, the media output port includes an elongate sealing closure which is movable in the transverse direction and presses elastically against the bearing surface by a sealing feed guide. The printing medium is capable of being outputted between the bearing surface and the sealing closure in an output direction.

Printer

A card housing device of flat construction is disclosed. The device allows for the complete insertion of a card through a narrow housing opening which may be sealed by a seal. The seal includes a sealing element which may be displaced in a direction normal to a displacement plane of the card. Conventional devices of this type are unsuitable for application in a tachograph due to installation requirements. The sealing element on the card housing device is spring-mounted by at least one elastic element.

A connection of two components is disclosed that abut on the faces thereof. With this connection, it is possible to create a stable connection, particularly of flat components, with a high level of precision of the position with regard to one another and with a preferred accessibility in the space around the plane extending from the adjacent adjoining faces of the components. Both components each have a half borehole with encircling collars; a fastening device that extends through the complete borehole and a nut having a conical recess which rests tightly against the collars so that the first component is fastened to the second component in a positive manner. It is further possible to provide a fastening of guiding elements to a middle base support that, in essence, overlaps the support at least occasionally and is effected by the connection.

Connection

The invention relates to a chipcard housing having a first and a second central piece, whereby the first central piece can be displaced by a drive. A locking element is also provided by which a displacement of the second central piece is prevented in a first working position and which may be operated by the first central piece such that the locking is released in a second working position. Both central pieces can mutually entrain the other in the second working position by means of a coupling element and the second central piece includes entraining elements for cooperation with a chipcard. The chipcard housing can be very compact and have a high resistance to shock and vibration influences and hence against manipulation.

Smart card holder

The invention relates to a chipcard housing with an ejector and at least one locking arm coupled thereto. A gearwheel is provided for control of the locking arm which engages in a section of the locking arm resembling a toothed rack such that the drive of the gearwheel is achieved by a lug on the ejector which engages in a crank guide provided on the gearwheel.

The present invention relates to a gear arrangement actuated by a control motor. The motor can be reversed in its rotational direction in order to emit a chip card of a tachograph for example. The gear arrangement is provided with a slide-rod for each reading/writing unit, the slide-rod being embodied in the form of a toothed rack being able to be displaced in the direction of movement of the chip card. A control slider which is actuated by the control motor is coupled gearwise to the slide rods so that when the control slider is displaced, the slide rods carry out a movement in opposite directions.

The present invention relates to a compact drive system serving to deflect a push force to move a carriage assigned to the chip card and mounted in a chip card receiving unit. A flexible, pressure-transmitting force conductor is provided in the form of individual spheres, the force conductor being assigned a direction-deflecting guide and a push rod provided with an actuating member. The force conductor is driven by a control slide engaging in the duct, the control slide being connected by a gear to a positioning motor.
