A device for pasteurizing and filling medium into containers includes a short time heating system for pasteurizing the medium, a single buffer container downstream of the short time heating system for receiving the medium, and a rotary filling device downstream of the buffer container. The filling device is connected to the buffer container in a buffer-free manner and pipes and/or one or more rotary distributors are disposed between the filling device and the buffer container. A method for pasteurizing and filling medium into containers, where filling the containers with the medium is performed by way of a device in a buffer-free manner using a filling device, includes: pasteurizing the medium in the short time heating system, buffering the pasteurized medium in the buffer container, and filling the pasteurized medium into the containers. The pasteurized medium is transported in a buffer-free manner from the buffer container to the filling device.

Filling line for heat-treating and filling a liquid into containers (e.g., bottles), comprising a pre-heater for pre-heating the liquid, a heater for heating the liquid after pre-heating, a cooler for cooling down the liquid after heating, and a filling unit for filling the liquid into the containers, where the filling line is suitable for hot filling and cold filling, where the liquid path from the pre-heater to the filling unit for hot filling differs from the liquid path from the pre-heater to the filling unit for cold filling, and the filling line comprises a switching option for switching between the two liquid paths; and a method for heat-treating and filling containers with a liquid in which such a filling line is used.

Filling line for heat-treating and filling a liquid into containers

A method of flash pasteurizing a liquid product before the product is filled includes preheating the product for flash pasteurization, correction cooling the flash pasteurized product, and intermediately storing cooling water heated in the correction cooling of the flash pasteurized product. Waste heat obtained during at least one of a cooling of filled-in product or a recooling of not filled-in product is supplied to the intermediately stored cooling water.

Method and device for heating a liquid product

A hot filling system for a liquid, with heat recovery, and a corresponding method, wherein prior to heating and filling the liquid is first preheated in a heat exchanger. A portion of the heated liquid to be filled is again cooled in a recooler and recirculated. The return line of the recooler is here connected to the supply line of the heat exchanger so as to transfer heat energy from the recooler to the heat exchanger. This reduces energy losses in comparison with known systems.
