A method and an arrangement to determine the lowest speed at which an activating pin activates a detonator, this being achieved by a hydraulic medium, the viscous property of which is used to control the transfer of energy from the activating pin to the detonator.

The disclosure relates to a method of producing charges for cannons with extremely high charge density and favorable burning properties from the standpoints of both wear and pressure vs time characteristics. According to the invention, the charge is formed of mutually parallel, bundled tubular propellant rods which have been provided with specially designed rupture points which cause the charge to be ignited as a pure tubular propellant charge of large length in relation to the diameter of the combustion channels, but finally burns as a pure granular propellant. The disclosure also relates to propellant charges produced according to the disclosed method.

A detonator for non-electric detonation systems for blasting charges intended to be initiated by a detonating fuse includes a passage provided in the body of the detonator for passing a detonating fuse through the passage. The detonator includes a conventional percussion cap which is immediately initiated by the detonating fuse for initiating the detonator. Also a booster charge intended for the detonator is provided with a reinforced central channel for the detonating fuse.
