A sensor system is provided for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel structure, e.g., an air mass flow of an internal combustion engine. The sensor system has a sensor housing, e.g., a plug-in sensor that is introduced or can be introduced into a flow tube, in which the channel structure is formed, and at least one sensor chip, situated in the channel structure, for determining the parameter of the fluid medium. The sensor housing has an inlet into the channel structure, oriented opposite a main direction of flow of the fluid medium, and an outlet from the channel structure. The channel structure includes a main channel and a measurement channel. The measurement channel branches off from the main channel. The sensor chip is in the measurement channel. The main channel and the measurement channel discharge together into the outlet from the channel structure.

Sensor arrangement for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel structure

A sensor system for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel, in particular of an intake air mass flow of an internal combustion engine. The sensor system includes a sensor housing, in particular a plug-in sensor, which is introduced or introducible into a flow tube in which the channel is formed, and at least one sensor chip, which is situated in the channel for determining the parameter of the fluid medium. The sensor housing includes a housing body and a cover. The channel has an inlet into the channel, which faces in a direction opposite the main flow direction of the fluid medium, and at least one outlet out of the channel. The channel is formed in the cover, and the cover is connected to the housing body with the aid of a force-locked connection.

Sensor system for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel

A sensor arrangement is described for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a measuring channel, particularly of an intake air mass flow of an internal combustion engine. The sensor arrangement includes a sensor housing, in particular a plug-in sensor which is introduced or may be introduced into a flow tube and in which the measuring channel is formed, and at least one sensor chip which is situated in the measuring channel for determining the parameter of the fluid medium. The sensor chip is attached to a sensor carrier protruding into the measuring channel. The sensor carrier is designed in such a way that it has a chord. The chord has a length of 4.5 mm to 6.5 mm. In a preferred refinement, the sensor carrier is shaped like a double ellipse or a diving board.

A sensor system for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel structure. The sensor system has a sensor housing, particularly a plug-in sensor that is inserted or insertable into a flow pipe and in which the channel structure is formed. The sensor housing has a housing body and a cover. The channel structure has a main channel and a measuring channel. At least one sensor chip determining the parameter of the fluid medium is disposed in the measuring channel. The sensor housing has an inlet into the channel structure, the inlet pointing counter to a main flow direction of the fluid medium, at least one main-channel outlet from the main channel and at least one measuring-channel outlet from the measuring channel. The main-channel outlet is disposed on an end face or on a downstream side of the cover based on the main flow direction.

A sensor system is provided for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a channel, in particular an intake air mass flow of an internal combustion engine. The sensor system includes a sensor housing, in particular a plug-in sensor which is introduced or is introducible into a flow tube, in which the channel is formed, and at least one sensor chip which is situated in the channel for determining the parameter of the fluid medium. The sensor housing has an inlet into the channel which points counter to a main flow direction of the fluid medium, and at least one outlet from the channel in a surface of the sensor housing. The surface of the sensor housing has multiple recesses upstream from the outlet viewed in the main flow direction.

A device for detecting at least one property of a fluid medium has at least one sensor housing introducible into the fluid medium, which sensor housing has at least one channel through which the fluid medium flows and which has at least one outlet opening. The fluid medium flows out through the outlet opening after flowing through the channel. The sensor housing has at least one housing body and at least one cover. The outlet opening is situated in the cover. The housing body has at least one collar section, which engages with the outlet opening and which forms at least one part of an edge of the outlet opening.

A system for rotationally securely plugging a sensor into a through-passage of a flow channel, the sensor including a sensor housing, the through-passage having an inner wall delimiting the through-passage and first and second inside diameters extending respectively along a first axis and a second axis, perpendicular to the first axis, the first inside diameter being greater than the second inside diameter, a plug-in direction of the sensor housing into the through-passage defining a third axis essentially perpendicular to the first and second axis, the sensor housing having a longitudinal extension area along the third axis and being insertable into the through-passage. To ensure rotationally secure assembly of the sensor in its setpoint angular position, at least one protrusion is provided so that the sensor housing, in a plugged-in state, is rotatable in the through-passage by no more than 0.5&#xb0; about the third axis.

A sensor device for detecting a flow property of fluid medium, e.g., an air flow in the intake tract or the charge air tract of an internal combustion engine, includes: a sensor housing introduced into the air flow and having at least one housing body, at least one cover, and at least one channel through which the fluid medium flows; a sensor element for detecting the flow property, the sensor element being held on a top side of a carrier. The carrier is situated at least partially in the channel and has a cross section which becomes wider in parallel with the main flow direction of the fluid medium at the location of the sensor element in a sectional plane in parallel to the main flow direction of the fluid medium in the channel.

A sensor system for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium which flows in a main flow direction, e.g., an intake air mass flowing through a flow pipe, includes at least one sensor situated in the fluid medium and at least one grating which is situated transversely to the main flow direction and which has at least one bar. On at least one surface over which the fluid medium flows, the bar has at least one shearing element which is designed to generate a region in the flow having a turbulent flow downstream from the shearing element.

A plug-in sensor for determining an aspirated air mass of an internal combustion engine flowing through a flow pipe has a plug part, which is able to be introduced into the streaming medium with a specified orientation to the main flow direction. Provided in this plug part is at least one flow channel having at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening. Accommodated in the at least one flow channel is at least one sensor for determining the at least one parameter. The plug part has a rounded inflow side, which points counter to the main flow direction. The plug part at least partially has an airfoil profile, which is designed such that an asymmetrical flow profile of the fluid medium comes about when the plug part is introduced into the streaming fluid medium.
