A device for optically measuring the distance from a reflective target object is disclosed. The device has a beam source, a detector, a beam shaping system with a transmission optical system and a reception optical system, and a laser beam shaping element that can be arranged in the path of the laser beam. The laser shaping element is designed as a shaping aperture, where the shaping aperture converts the laser beam into a shaped laser beam with one or more opening angles and the opening angles are smaller than the maximum critical angle of 0.3 mrad.

A method for transmitting objects onto a boundary surface by a system comprising a marking device having a print field, a locator device, and a control device is provided. The method includes selecting a first object to be marked having a first starting position and first target coordinates. The dimensions of the first object are bigger than the dimensions of the print field. The method also includes determining by the locator device a current position of the marking device, and determining by the control device a current print field of the marking device based on the current position of the marking device. A method and device for determining position coordinates of a target object is disclosed. The method includes positioning a target device on the target object, transmitting a laser beam onto the target device, reflecting the laser beam off of the target device, recording an image of the target device by a camera device with the reflected laser beam as a light reflection in the image, and determining a focus of the light reflection in the image. The reflected laser beam is received and a distance to the target object is calculated from the received beam. A first offset is calculated from a focal length of the camera device, the calculated distance to the target object, and a first image coordinate of the focus of the light reflection in the image. The position coordinates of the target object are calculated from the distance and the first offset.

A coil arrangement for a magnetic sensor for detecting metallic objects in a subgrade, in particular structures made of concrete, brick, and wood, as well as a method for energizing and reading out this coil arrangement, is disclosed. The printed circuit board includes a third receptacle, where the second electro-optical component is mounted in the third receptacle. The first electro-optical component and the beam-shaping optical element are adjustable relative to the optics carrier in a direction of a respective optical axis of the first electro-optical component and the beam-shaping optical element and the second electro-optical component is adjustable and fixable in a plane essentially perpendicular to an optical axis of the second electro-optical element.
