The present invention provides thermoplastic polycarbonate blends which contain phosphonate amines and special graft polymers, which are prepared using redox initiator systems, and which are characterised by improved mechanical properties such as notched impact resistance, weld line strength and stress crack resistance.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate blends

A translucent thermoplastic molding composition containing polycarbonate, phosphorous compound and a fluorinated polyolefin is disclosed. Characterized in its excellent flame proofing, optical properties and resistance to chemicals the composition is suitable for making articles that in the course of use come in contact with solvents lubricants and cleaning compositions.

Non-inflammable, translucent polycarbonate molding materials

The present invention relates to polycarbonate blends containing phosphonate amine and inorganic nanoparticles, which have improved flame proofing and improved mechanical properties such as low-temperature impact strength, elongation at break, weld line strength and stress cracking resistance as well as an improved yellowness index.

A thermoplastic molding composition that contains a resinous blend with phosphonate amine is disclosed. The resinous blend contains polycarbonate and a graft polymer having a graft substrate rubber selected from among silicone, EP(D)M and acrylate rubbers. The composition exhibits exceptional flame resistance and good mechanical properties such as stress cracking resistance and ease of flow while exhibiting high heat resistance.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate compositions having increased chemical resistance

Flame resistant graft polymer-modified polycarbonate molding compositions are described. The polycarbonate molding compositions comprise phosphorous compounds, and a coagulated mixture of flourinated polyolefins or precompound fluorinated polyolefins. Polycarbonate molding compositions according the present invention are flame retardant, and have desirable mechanical properties, e.g., notched impact strength and elongation at break.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate moulding materials modified with graft polymers

The present invention relates to polycarbonate moulding compositions provided with phosphonate amines and phosphorus compounds, which moulding compositions exhibit excellent flame protection and very good mechanical properties, such as joint line strength or modulus of elasticity, and a good crude shade.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate ABS moulding materials

A flame retardant molding composition is disclosed. The composition that contains polycarbonate and/or polyester carbonate and a phosphonate amines is characterized by its good level of mechanical properties, especially a high heat resistance, and exhibits low-juicing. An embodiment wherein the composition further contains a graft polymer is also disclosed.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate molding materials

A thermoplastic molding composition comprising polycarbonate, an impact modifier, a phosphorus-containing flameproofing agent, and high purity talc is disclosed. The composition offers flame resistance for molded parts having small wall thickness, improved rigidity and resistance to stress cracking. The talc has MgO content of 30.5 to 32 wt. %, SiO content of 60 to 62.5 wt. % and Al O content lower than 0.7 wt. % and d value less than or equal to 2.5 &mgr;m.

Flame-resistant polycarbonate molding compositions containing high-purity talc

A graft polymer-modified thermoplastic polycarbonate molding composition is described. The thermoplastic polycarbonate molding composition comprises a phosphorous compound or a mixture of phosphorous compounds. Thermoplastic molding compositions according to the present invention are flame resistant, and have desirable mechanical properties and elevated heat resistance.

Flame-resistant, impact-resistant modified polycarbonate molding and extrusion masses

The present invention relates to polycarbonate-ABS moulding compositions provided with phosphonate amines, which moulding compositions exhibit excellent flame protection and very good processing properties, such as improved flow properties, improved modulus of elasticity and reduced formation of a coating on the tool, the graft polymer being prepared by means of mass, solution or mass-suspension polymerization processes.
