A holder for a beverage container, for installation in a motor vehicle has a receiver open to a top for insertion of a beverage container, guide unit, a support which is guided by the guide unit so as to be movable back and forth between a lowered position and a raised position, the support in the raised position providing a beverage container inserted into the receiver with a lateral support above the receiver, an unlockable locking device which holds the support in the lowered position, and a locking device which holds the support in the raised position.

The cassette holder for the transverse storage of magnetic tape cassettes, compact cassettes and digital cassettes has locking members (10) provided for locking the tape reel hubs (17) of a compact cassette (19) on a slider element (2) on which the cassette is moved from a removal position to a storage position. The movement of the locking members (10) is triggered by an actuating device (3) having a control edge (4) which raises and locks the locking members via a first turning pin (9) arranged with the locking members (10) on a common shaft (11). A holding device to receive a drink container is provided for installation in a horizontal surface, for example a central console of a motor vehicle. In order to be able to accommodate the holding device in a small installation space and to recess it completely in its installation surface, the invention proposes a pivot arm which, after being unlocked, pivots, actuated by a spring, from a recumbent position into an upright position and thereby displaces a displaceable, upright arm upwards into a holding position. In order, with a narrow installation space, to engage securely around an inserted drink container, the holding device further has holding wings which, during the displacement of the displaceable arm into the holding position pivot out laterally.

A holding device for drink containers for installation in the fascia of a motor vehicle has a slide member on which a holder is mounted so as to be pivotable upward into a horizontal position and to which a support is linked which is likewise pivotally mounted on the slide member and which, when the holder is pivoted upward, pivots with a setting-down surface beneath an insertion opening in the holder. To fold the holder and the support into a flat position in one plane with the slide member, the return member is pivotally mounted on the slide member, engages with a control cam of the support, and, when the slide member is pushed in, is pressed downwards on a fixed oblique surface and thereby folds up the holder and the support. The control cam extends in such a way that the return member locks the holder in its horizontal position.

The cassette holder for magnetic tape cassettes includes locking devices (14,15) for locking the reel hubs of a magnetic tape cassette mounted on a transversely displaceable sliding element (3). Control wedges (9,10) are formed on both sides of the sliding element (3) which, as a magnetic tape cassette is inserted, come into contact with an enlargement (24,25) formed on the flat faces of the magnetic tape cassette (23) so as to displace the sliding element (3) laterally. The sliding element (3) with its locking devices (14) is thus aligned exactly with the position of the reel hubs (26) for engagement of the locking devices (14,15) with the reel hubs (26).

A container for installing in a vehicle has a housing having an open front side, a cover pivotally mounted on the housing at the open front side, a storage receptacle formed as a storage tray and connected to the cover so that when the cover is opened the storage tray is displaced out of the housing into a removal position, a slide guidable and lockable in the housing, the storage tray being hingedly mounted on the slide, a drive member moving the slide toward the open front side of the housing, and a coupling link which connects the storage tray to the cover and having a control pin connected to the storage tray and displacing the storage tray outside the housing into the removal position in which the storage tray is partially uprightly oriented.

A device for storing magnetic tape cassettes has a housing, a slider movable into the housing to a storage position and provided with locking members engageable with tape reel hubs of a compact cassette stored in the device, and a spring wire acting on the pivotally mounted locking members and holding them below a supporting surface of the slider member when the latter is located outside of the housing, and when the slider member is moved into the housing a control edge of the housing presses the spring wire to transfer torque to the locking members so as to displace them away from the supporting surface and pivot them into the tape reel hubs of the compact cassette.
