A switching device, in particular an electrical power circuit breaker, is disclosed for protecting an electrical circuit. The switching device includes two pole terminals, a switching mechanism for automatically interrupting the electrical connection of the two pole terminals in the event of an overload, electrical components for controlling the switching device and a pole cassette in which the switching mechanism is disposed in a switching chamber. The pole cassette includes at least one gas duct which is connected to the switching chamber in a gas-communicating manner and is designed to discharge gas from the pole cassette past the electrical components to the environment.

Switching device

A switching apparatus for an electrical switching device is disclosed, in particular an electrical circuit breaker, for safeguarding at least two poles. A tripping element is included for each pole, supported moveably between a rest position and a tripping position. A common switching frame, movable between a pre-tension position and a switching position, is actively connected for force transmission to frame sections of the at least two tripping elements for the movement of the switching frame into the switching position upon movement of the tripping element into the tripping position. At least one spring element is embodied to apply force to the frame sections of the at least two tripping elements in the direction of the rest position of the at least two tripping elements.

Switching apparatus for an electrical switching device

A selective release with a moving element is disclosed. The moving element is here mounted such that the moving element, in addition to the motion about its swivel axis, is guided in its motion by way of a brace. As a result of this, the moving element is mounted such that the trajectory of the blocking element essentially runs in a plane which extends transversely to the direction of flow of the flow channel.

Release for an electrical switching arrangement

An electric switch is disclosed including an at least two-part housing including a first housing part, a second housing part connected to the first housing part and including at least one pole cartridge which is enclosed by the two-part housing and is preassembled in the second housing part. In at least one embodiment, the first housing part is connected to the pole cartridge with the aid of at least one fastening device.

Electric switch

A casing of a circuit breaker for nominal currents above 250 A that enables at least one rigid busbar to be swung in to make contact with at least one switching pole attached in the casing. The casing may include a bottom section that cuboidally includes a rectangular base area and two rectangular side faces connected to the base area and running parallel to one another. Adjacent side faces are connected to one another via at least two stays which are arranged away from the opposing openings, delimited by the side faces, of the cuboidal bottom section, so that a switching pole can be inserted between the stays into the bottom section and so that a rigid busbar can be swung in at one of the two openings in order to make contact with the switching pole, when busbar and bottom section are each premounted, for example in a switching cabinet.

Casing of a circuit breaker, in particular of a circuit breaker for nominal currents above 250A

A multipole electrical switching device is disclosed with an outer housing in which at least two separate switching pole housings are accommodated. In at least one embodiment, the at least two separate switching pole housings on walls facing towards one another, each have a least one mounting which form a mounting pair assigned to one another. In at least one embodiment, for mechanical connection of the at least two separate switching pole housings, the mounting pair is assigned at least one connection device which engages into the two mountings forming the mounting pair. The two mountings forming the mounting pair, in relation to a dividing joint formed between the two facing walls, each form an undercut, whereby the at least one connecting device engages behind the undercuts and the at least one connecting device is formed in a primary process in one piece on the outer housing.

Multipole electrical switching device

An apparatus for tripping an electrical switch is disclosed, which includes a selective tripping device and a power-storing mechanism. The electrical switch can be tripped by the selective tripping device by way of the power-storing mechanism.

Apparatus for tripping an electrical switch

A release for an electrical switching arrangement includes at least two switching contacts, which are arranged in a housing and are isolated if the current flowing via the switching contacts has exceeded a predetermined threshold value. The release includes an actuating element, which responds, counter to the force of a restraining apparatus, to a pressure which is generated by an arc occurring in an isolating zone of the switching contacts. The isolating zone is surrounded by the housing, and actuates a shutdown mechanism which brings about automatic interruption of the current path. The actuating element has a movable element, which forms a blocking element in a flow channel, which is connected to the isolating zone. The blocking element performs a predetermined control movement at the pressure which is intended to result in shutdown.

Release for an electric switching arrangement

An arrangement including at least two separate switch pole housings and a joining facility for joining the switch pole housings. Each of the switch pole housings forms an insulating enclosure of a switching space for receiving a single switch pole of an electric switching device. A side wall of a first switch pole housing, facing a second one of the switch pole housings, includes at least one recess for receiving at least one joining device of the joining facility. The at least one recess forms a first undercut with respect to a side wall and a first locating surface in parallel with a front wall of the housing. The at least one joining device engages behind the first undercut and is braced against a first locating surface.

A latching mechanism is for locking an actuating shaft of an electrical switch, which can be transferred from an OFF position into an ON position by a drive train counter to the force of at least one first spring, in its ON position. The latching mechanism includes a first lever, which is pivotably coupled to the drive train of the actuating shaft and is supported against a stop held in a locking position. For accelerated release of the actuating shaft, also provided is a second lever, which has a working surface assigned to the stop. In this case, the second lever is held in a first stop position against the first lever by way of a second spring. When the second lever pivots under the action of an initiating force, which opposes the force of the second spring, the working surface acts in such a way on the stop that the stop is transferred into a release position. In order to release the actuating shaft more quickly, the forces of the two springs act independently of one another on the first lever, so that a mechanism which provides the initiating force can be formed independently of the drive train.

Latching mechanism for locking an actuating shaft and electrical switch with a latching mechanism of this type

A low-voltage power switch, includes a drive device, fixed by way of a supporting framework and an associated switch shaft, fixed by way of two axially external bearing sub-assemblies, to the switch pole sub-assembly. In order to ensure that the fitting corresponds to a position based on separate examination of the drive device, the bearing arrangement has an additional, axially central bearing sub-assembly. The bearing sub-assembly includes two half-shells which are axially fixed by way of guide surfaces, whereby one is radially supported on the switch pole sub-assembly and the other is radially supported on the supporting framework of the drive device.

Low-voltage power switch with a bearing arrangement for a switch shaft

A switching device has a closing device and a traversing mechanism for insertion and retraction relative to an insertion frame, where the said devices can be operated only in the OFF state of the switching device. A blocking bar having a cam element that cooperates with a carrier of an OFF operator is guided by elongated holes behind an operator's console of the switching device. The carrier and the cam element work together in such a way that the OFF operator can be pulled inward when the blocking bar is operated, thus signaling to the user that the switching device is locked in the OFF state.
