A temporary mechanical and fluidic connection with an anchor wall of a subsea tubular may use a substantially solid, reusable lid for a subsea tubular, which comprises a substantially solid upper surface, a predetermined set of lid anchors (), a predetermined set of selectively activated valves (), a seal () configured to engage an internal wall () of the subsea tubular and create a seal between substantially solid upper surface and the internal wall of the subsea tubular, a connector (), and a controller () by maneuvering the substantially solid, reusable lid proximate an open end () of a subsea tubular (), attaching the substantially solid, reusable lid to the open end of the subsea tubular, using the lid anchors () to secure the substantially solid, reusable lid to the open end of the subsea tubular, and operatively engaging the seal () to create an occlusive seal between substantially solid upper surface and an internal wall () of the subsea tubular.

System and method for suction anchor deployment with solid lid

A gripper multi-tool for an underwater vehicle comprises one or more mechanical gripper jaws; a motor; a torque controller operatively in communication with the motor; a cathodic protection (CP) probe disposed on at least one mechanical gripper jaw; a tool interface operatively connected to the motor and configured to selectively receive and/or discharge a tool selected from a plurality of tools; and a power source operatively in communication with the plurality of tools, the torque controller, and the motor. Gripper multi-tool is deployed subsea, such as via an underwater vehicle, and receives and engages a tool selected from a plurality of tools into the tool interface which, once engaged and effectuated, is used to perform a predetermined function. When the predetermined function has completed, the tool may be disengaged and removed from the tool interface and replaced with a further tool to perform a further function.

Gripper tool to perform multiple functions subsea

An adaptive tooling interface comprises a plurality of motors, disposed at least partially within a housing, which are operatively in communication with a controller and where a first power output is operatively in communication with a first motor of the plurality of motors and a second power output operatively in communication with a second motor of the plurality of motors. A drive interface, comprising a tooling adapter, is operatively in communication with the plurality of motors and configured to mate with and provide power to one or more tools, which comprise a matching subsea tool tooling interface, via the first power output and the second power output. The adaptive tooling interface may be connected to or otherwise integrated into a subsea vehicle system comprising a subsea vehicle.
