The present invention provides a novel method for the preparation ofF-fluoride (18F) for use in radiofluorination reactions. The method of the invention finds use especially in the preparation of 18F-labelled positron emission tomography (PET) tracers. The method of the invention is particularly advantageous where bulk solutions are prepared and stored in prefilled vials rather than being freshly prepared on the day of synthesis. Also provided by the present invention is a radiofluorination reaction which comprises the method of the invention, as well as a cassette for use in carrying out the method of the invention and/or the radiofluorination method of the invention on an automated radiosynthesis apparatus.

Formulation and method of synthesis

The present invention provides a novel method for the preparation ofF-fluoride (F) for use in radiofluorination reactions. The method of the invention finds use especially in the preparation ofF-labelled positron emission tomography (PET) tracers. Eluent solution

The present invention provides a composition comprising anti-1-amino-3-F-fluorocyclobutyl-1-carboxylic acid (F-FACBC) having an improved impurity profile compared with previous such compositions. Also provided is a method to obtain said composition.

The present invention relates to a novel composition comprising 1-amino-3-[F]-fluorocyclobutanecarboxylic acid ([F]-FACBC) wherein said composition has certain superior properties in comparison with known compositions comprising [F]-FACBC. Also provided by the invention is a method to obtain said composition.

Radiolabelling process

The present invention relates to a method for improving stability of non fluoridated sugar derivatives, and in particular glucose derivatives such as 1,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-2-O-trifluoromethanesulfonyl-&#x3b2;-D-mannopyranose which are used as precursors for production of radiofluoridated sugar derivatives for use in in vivo imaging procedures such as positron emission tomography (PET). The method comprises storing the non fluoridated sugar derivative in an organic solvent. The resultant formulations of the non fluoridated sugar derivative and cassettes for automated synthesis apparatus comprising the same are also claimed.

Stabilisation of radiopharmaceutical precursors

The present invention provides a method to prepare anF-labelled tricyclic indole compound comprising a solid-phase extraction (SPE) purification step. This method is particularly suitable for carrying out the radiofluorination method on an automated synthesizer. In addition to the radiofluorination method, the present invention provides a cassette designed to carry out the method on an automated synthesizer.

Solid phase extraction method

The invention relates to a method for improving stability of radiopharmaceutical precursors, and in particular non radiolabelled nucleoside derivatives which are used as precursors for production of radiolabelled nucleoside derivatives for use in in vivo imaging procedures such as positron emission tomography (PET). The invention further includes formulations of radiopharmaceutical precursors, and cassettes for automated synthesis apparatus comprising the same.
