The invention relates to a method of interconnecting photovoltaic cells into a module by using a tape carrying tabbing wires. The tape makes possible to build modules at a reduced cost. In the tape method individual photovoltaic cells () are interconnected into modules by using electrical interconnecting conducting strips () carried by a tape (). The strips are laid out on the topsides and backsides of the PV cells. The strips are cut in such a manner that the cells will be interconnected in series after lamination. The present invention concerns an improvement of the tape used in the tape method.

The invention relates to devices and methods for cleaning centrifugal separators for concurrent and countercurrent separation of solid and/or liquid particles suspended in gaseous media. The device comprises a rotor () which is provided with a multiplicity of sedimentation members () and which is mounted rotatably in a surrounding housing (). In concurrent separation, a flushing nozzle () is arranged upstream of the sedimentation members () in order to supply a cleaning liquid for flushing the sedimentation members clean. In countercurrent separation, the flushing nozzle is arranged upstream and/or downstream of the sedimentation members in order to supply cleaning liquid from outside and/or from inside the rotor for flushing the sedimentation members clean.

In an apparatus for simultaneous cleaning of a liquid and a gas a centrifugal rotor for cleaning of the liquid is connected with a device for cleaning of the gas. The centrifugal rotor is contained in a stationary housing, and this housing delimits a supply passage for gas to be cleaned and on its way to the cleaning device. The gas cleaning device comprises a stack of conical separation discs surrounding a gas inlet chamber and surrounded by a receiving chamber that is delimited by a surrounding stationary casing.

A centrifugal separator for cleaning of a gas from solid and/or liquid particles suspended therein, includes a stationary housing and a rotor arranged therein. The rotor at its one axial end has a central inlet for gas to be cleaned and delimits a central space communicating with the inlet. Around the central space a stack of conical separation discs is arranged in the rotor. These discs form between themselves several through flow passages which at their one ends communicate with the central space in the rotor and at their other ends communicate directly with a receiving chamber surrounding the rotor in the stationary housing. In a centrifugal separator, the rotor of which is adapted to be driven by means of a gaseous driving fluid, the rotor itself supports a ring of turbine blades extending around the rotational axis of the rotor. A stationary nozzle is adapted to direct a flow of the driving fluid towards the ring of turbine members. After the driving fluid has passed between the turbine blades and has influenced them for driving of the centrifugal rotor, it enters a reversing chamber formed by a stationary reversing member. In the reversing chamber the driving fluid is caused to change its direction and is then conducted again towards the ring of turbine members in order to be utilized a second time for driving of the centrifugal rotor.

In connection with cleaning of gas from particles suspended therein and being heavier than the gas the gas is caused to rotate in a chamber delimited in a stationary housing, so that the particles by centrifugal force are separated from the gas and are thrown towards a stationary housing. The rotation of the gas is accomplished by means of a rotor, which includes a stack of conical separation discs arranged coaxially with each other and concentrically with the rotational axis of the rotor. The gas to be cleaned is caused to flow through interspaces between the separation discs, while they are rotating, the particles by the centrifugal force being brought into contact with the insides of the separation discs. In contact with the insides of the separation discs the particles first move along the generatrices of the separation discs and then move along inclined guiding members, which are arranged in contact with said insides. The guiding members collect particles moving across different sectors of the separation discs and conduct them to separate areas distributed around the surrounding edges of the separation discs. From these areas the particles in an agglomerated or coalesced form are thrown away from the separation discs towards the stationary housing.

Method and an apparatus for cleaning of gas

Gases produced by a combustion engine, e.g. crankcase gases, are conducted through a separation chamber formed and surrounded by a centrifugal rotor, by means of which the gases are caused to rotate, so that particles suspended in the gases are separated by means of centrifugal force. The centrifugal rotor is caused to rotate by means of a pressure fluid that is generated by means of the combustion engine.
