There is provided mechanisms for OTA testing of an AAS of an EUT. A method is performed by a network node. The method includes obtaining definition of a test signal to be transmitted or received by the EUT in accordance with a time/frequency resource grid. The method includes applying first beamforming weights to first selected resource elements of the time/frequency resource grid that give first beam directions according to a first type of configuration for first OTA testing of the AAS. The method includes applying second beamforming weights to second selected resource elements of the time/frequency resource grid that give second beam directions according to a second type of configuration for second OTA testing of the AAS. The method includes initiating transmission or reception of the test signal over the AAS using the time/frequency resource grid.

Over-the-air testing of an active antenna system

There is provided mechanisms for OTA based estimation of phase accuracy of a first radio transceiver device. A method is performed by a controller. The method comprises obtaining, per each position in a sequence of positions of a second radio transceiver device relative the first radio transceiver device, a phase relation estimate between transceiver branches of the first radio transceiver device. Each phase relation estimate is obtained from measurements on a signal wirelessly transmitted between the first radio transceiver device and the second radio transceiver device. The method comprises estimating an average phase relation for at least one pair of the transceiver branches of the first radio transceiver device by averaging the obtained phase relation estimates over all the positions in the sequence of positions. The phase accuracy of the first radio transceiver device is represented by the average phase relation for the at least one pair of the transceiver branches.

Over-the-air based estimation of phase accuracy of a radio transceiver device

The present disclosure relates to a system () for measurement of antenna alignment of an array antenna system () used for wireless communication. The array antenna system () has an antenna position (A) relative a first coordinate system () and comprises a control unit () and an array antenna () having an antenna aperture plane (), a certain coverage () and an initial array antenna orientation (B). The array antenna () further comprises a plurality of antenna elements () and at least two antenna ports (), each antenna port () being connected to a corresponding subarray (), each subarray () comprising at least one antenna element (). UAV, arranged to be deployed in the coverage () and comprising a UAV antenna arrangement () and a positioning module () that is adapted to provide UAV position information (C) relative the first coordinate system (). In at least one UAV position (C), the UAV () is adapted to transmit a UAV signal to the array antenna () by means of the UAV antenna arrangement (), the UAV signal comprising the UAV position information (C). The control unit () is adapted to detect signals corresponding to the received UAV signal at the antenna ports (), and to determine a determined array antenna orientation (D) by means of determined phase differences between the detected signals, the antenna position (A), the initial array antenna orientation (B) and the UAV position information (C).

System and method for alignment measurement of an array antenna system

There is provided mechanisms for adapting beamformed transmission from a base station. A method is performed by a control node. The control node is configured to control the beamformed transmission. The method comprises obtaining a first piece of information indicative of distance to, and direction towards, a radio communication site relative the base station. The method comprises obtaining a second piece of information indicative of operating radio frequency band of the radio communication site. The method comprises adapting the beamformed transmission so as to keep emission from the base station in the direction towards the radio communication site that contributes within the operating radio frequency band of the radio communication site within a prescribed limit.

Adaptation of beamformed transmission

The present invention relates to a communication node arrangement comprising at least two antenna units. Each antenna unit comprises at least one signal port and at least one antenna element, where each signal port is connected to at least one corresponding antenna element. Each antenna unit comprises at least one sensor unit arranged to sense its orientation relative a predetermined reference extension. The communication node arrangement comprises at least one control unit and is arranged to feed a respective test signal into each of at least two different signal ports. For each such test signal, the communication node arrangement is arranged to receive the test signal via at least one other signal port.
