The container () has a detachable lid () adapted to engage a peripheral rim () of a top opening. The peripheral rim has radially protruding flanges (), and the lid has radially protruding flanges () adapted to, in a first angular position of the lid, pass in between the radially protruding flanges of the peripheral rim () and, in a second angular position, be engaged with the radially protruding flanges () of the peripheral rim. The flanges () are adapted to, by pressing the lid () onto the peripheral rim, in the second angular position, snap over each other. A skirt portion () of the radially outwards protruding flanges () of the peripheral rim () is provided with a rounded indentation () into which a rounded protrusion () of a radially inwards protruding flange () may snap. Secondary snap faces () of the lid () forming an acute angle with the central axis () of the peripheral rim () of the top opening () include the rounded protrusions () of the radially inwards protruding flanges ().

Container

The invention relates to a packaging, preferably for foodstuffs, said packaging comprising a container and a lid, both of which is made of a material which is suitable for injection moulding, said lid being sealable relative to the container; and wherein the lid comprises an elevated portion for abutment on the internal, upper edge of the container, wherein at least a portion of the lid () is made with a sealing zone () for joining with the container (), said sealing zone () being added with an active material which, by influence during joining, changes the material in the sealing zone () to the effect that the sealing becomes weaker than the surrounding material, whereby the scaling is, upon opening, broken in the joint and not in the surrounding material. The invention also relates to a method of sealing the above packaging, wherein a material is added which, during the sealing procedure, changes the material in the joint to the effect that the seal becomes weaker than the surrounding material, whereby, when opened, the seal is broken in the joint and not in the surrounding material.

Packaging with lid sealable to container and a method of sealing the packaging

A container includes a wall, a bottom, a top opening with a peripheral rim and a lid adapted to engage the top opening. The peripheral rim is provided with a fluid-collecting lip extending in an upward and radially outward direction. The lid is provided with a locking edge adapted to wipe the fluid-collecting lip during insertion of the lid into the top opening. The fluid-collecting lip is provided with an upper, thin edge at a radially retracted position relative to the outside surface of the wall of the container. A second part of a peripheral flange of the lid substantially covers the radially outwardly-facing surface of the fluid-collecting lip in the closed position of the lid on the container.
