A liquid adhesive sealant for bonding a connector case and a terminal holder is filled in a sealant filled chamber formed in a space surrounded by a first fitting peripheral wall and a bottom surface of a first groove of the connector case made of a primary molding resin, and a second fitting peripheral wall and a bottom surface of a second groove of the terminal holder made of the primary molding resin in an electrical connector.

Electrical connector and a method of manufacturing the same

A resin-bonded body of a fuel injection apparatus includes a first resin material and a second resin material, which are bonded together and have different properties, respectively. The resin-bonded body has a fuel seal portion to limit leakage of fuel from a boundary surface between the first resin material and the second resin material to an outside. The fuel seal portion is formed in a portion of the boundary surface and is surface-modified to increase hydrophilicity of the fuel seal portion.

Fuel injection apparatus

A fuel injection system for use with an internal combustion engine supplies fuel to an injector (fuel injection valve) from a common rail (accumulator) through a high-pressure pipe to spray the fuel from a spray hole formed in the injector. A thin-walled portion is formed in a path member (e.g., an injector body, the high-pressure pipe, or a connector connecting the injector and the high-pressure pipe) and defined by a locally thin wall of the path member. A strain gauge (strain sensor) is affixed to the thin-walled portion to measure strain of the thin-walled portion arising from the pressure of fuel in a high-pressure fuel path.

Fuel injection valve and fuel injection device

An injector having an injector body, in which a housing opening and a communication hale are provided, includes a supporting member fixed to an actuator, which includes a lead-wire supporting portion that supports ends of lead wires and a plate portion formed integrally with the lead-wire supporting portion. A thickness of the plate portion is smaller than that of the lead-wire supporting portion, and multiple trench portions are provided on a surface of the plate portion so that the plate portion can be easily bent. While the supporting member passes through the housing opening, the lead wires straight move. After an end portion of the supporting member contacts the communication hole, external force is applied to the end portion to bend the plate portion, and thereby the lead wires are bent while moving in the communication hole.

Injector

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel injector is equipped with a fuel pressure sensor which is installed in a metallic injector body. The fuel injector also includes an amplifier working to amplify an output of the fuel pressure sensor and a thermal insulating member disposed between the metallic injector body and the amplifier to shield the amplifier thermally, thereby ensuring the accuracy in measuring the pressure of fuel within the fuel injector.

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is provided which has a fuel supply path and a nozzle chamber. The fuel supply path extends a spray hole. The nozzle chamber is defined in the fuel supply path. A nozzle is disposed within the nozzle chamber to establish or block a fluid communication between the fuel supply path and the spray hole. A fuel pressure sensor is installed in the fuel injector so as to be exposed to the fuel in the nozzle chamber. Specifically, the fuel pressure sensor is located closer to the spray hole than a prior art structure in which the fuel pressure sensor is installed in a fuel supply pipe, thus resulting in increased accuracy in measuring a change in pressure of the fuel arising from the spraying of the fuel from the spray hole.

A fuel pressure sensor/sensor mount assembly in which a fuel pressure sensor is so mounted as to exposed to a high-pressure fuel path through which fuel is supplied to a fuel injector, a fuel injection apparatus equipped with a built-in fuel pressure sensor, and a pressure sensing apparatus working to measure the pressure of fuel in a fuel injector are provided. The fuel pressure sensor/sensor mount assembly is disposed between the high-pressure fuel path and the fuel injector, thus permitting the size of the fuel injector to be minimized without sacrificing the accuracy in measuring the pressure of the fuel. The fuel injection apparatus and the a pressure sensing apparatus are designed to ensure desired accuracy in measuring the pressure of the fuel.

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel injector is to be installed in a cylinder head of the engine and has a fuel pressure sensor working to measure the pressure of fuel within a injector body. The fuel pressure sensor is installed in a portion of the injector body which is to be located away from the cylinder head of the engine across a portion of the injector body on which a mechanical pressure is exerted by an external member such as a fuel supply pipe or a fuel drain pipe, thereby keeping the fuel pressure sensor free from internal stress, as arising from the mechanical pressure exerted on the injector body, to ensure the accuracy in measuring the pressure of the fuel.

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel injector is equipped with a fuel pressure sensor, a sensor circuit such as an amplifier, and a valve actuator such as a piezoelectric actuator. The fuel injector also includes a conductive shield which is disposed between the sensor circuit and actuator drive terminals to supply electric power to the actuator and works to shield the sensor circuit from electric noises arising from the drive terminals, thereby minimizing the addition of the noises to an output of the fuel pressure sensor, as being processed in the sensor circuit, and ensuring the accuracy in determining the pressure of fuel based on the output of the fuel pressure sensor.
