The invention relates to a power distribution system (), especially a Power-over-Ethernet system, comprising at least one dominant sensor, which may be located within a powered device () like a lighting device, and at least one non-dominant sensor, which may be located within another powered device (), wherein the power distribution system is adapted such that in a system low power mode the at least one dominant sensor () consumes power provided by a power providing unit () and the at least one non-dominant sensor () does not consume the provided power and that the power distribution system () switches from the system low power mode to a system high power mode, if the at least one dominant sensor () has sensed an event. Since in the system low power mode the at least one non-dominant sensor does not consume power, the power consumption can be reduced.

Power distribution system with self-learning low power standby reduction

Disclosed are systems and methods for adjusting environmental conditions based on automatically and manually generated requests. A commissioned unit comprising at least one IP luminaire (), transmits a signal comprising one or more identification codes. The signal may be, for example, a coded light signal. An environment control device () receives the signal, detects user input indicating one or more preferred environmental conditions, and transmits an environment control request comprising the one or more preferred environmental conditions. An environment manager module () receives the environment control request, generates an environment control command using the control request, and transmits the environment control command to one or more commissioned units to alter environmental conditions in a space in accordance with the user input.

Systems and methods for managing environmental conditions

The invention relates a system for providing information about installation quality of load elements (). Performance of power distribution systems, such as Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) systems, is depending on the overall system installation performance like quality of the connections () between power control devices () (e.g. PoE switches) and the powered load elements () (e.g. luminaires), Cat5/6 cable quality, cable type, length of the cables, aging of the connections, etc. The proposed system is able to provide feedback and to judge system installation performance at t=0 and over time.

Installation quality feedback system

The (Power-over-Ethernet) power distribution system comprises a lighting unit (-) for producing light. The power distribution system further comprises at least two (Power-over-Ethernet) switch units () each having a plurality of ports (). Since in the system low power mode the at least one non-dominant sensor does not consume power, the power consumption can be reduced.

Power over ethernet power distribution system using dominant and non-dominant sensors

LED lighting arrangement and method of controlling a LED lighting arrangement

Disclosed are systems and methods for adjusting environmental conditions within a physical structure comprising a plurality of linked commissioned units. One or more occupancy sensors (--) produce data indicating that a designated zone has transitioned from an unoccupied state to an occupied state. A first one or more luminaires (--) associated with a first one of the plurality of linked commissioned units (D), produces a background level of illumination within a predetermined reaction period following the production of the sensor data. The first one of the plurality of linked commissioned units transmits data indicative of the state change of the designated zone, and at least a second one of the plurality of linked commissioned units receives the data indicative of the state change, and causes at least a second one or more luminaires to alter illumination.
