A cooling module is coupled to an engine system and a Rankine cycle waste heat recovery system. The cooling module includes a heat exchanger for cooling a fluid of the engine system and a condenser for cooling a working fluid of the Rankine cycle waste heat recovery system, both of which extend in a width direction of the cooling module and are porous to a flow of cooling air in a depth direction of the cooling module. The condenser includes a first tubular header that extends in a height direction of the cooling module. A working fluid transfer tube fluidly couples the first tubular header to the Rankine waste heat recovery cycle system. The working fluid transfer tube has a first portion extending in the depth direction and a second portion extending in the height direction, the second portion being adjacent to the first tubular header in the width direction.

Cooling module and method for rejecting heat from a coupled engine system and rankine cycle waste heat recovery system

A heat exchanger that includes first and second headers, a first flow conduit fluidly connecting the first and second headers to allow for a flow of a first fluid through the heat exchanger, the first flow conduit being bounded by a first generally planar wall section extending between the first and second headers, a second flow conduit to allow for a flow of the second fluid through the heat exchanger, the second flow conduit being bounded by a second generally planar wall section spaced apart from the first generally planar wall section to define a gap therebetween, and a thermally conductive structure arranged within the gap and joined to the first and second generally planar wall sections to transfer heat therebetween. The thermally conductive structure is isolated from the first fluid by the first generally planar wall section and from the second fluid by the second generally planar wall section.

Heat exchanger

A power generation system having a combustion engine with a Rankine bottoming cycle, the system including a first flow path for a process fluid and a second flow path for a working fluid, and a heat exchanger arranged along both the first and the second flow paths to transfer waste heat from the process fluid to the working fluid. The heat exchanger includes a first flow conduit being bounded by a first wall section and configured to convey the process fluid, a second flow conduit to convey the working fluid, the second flow conduit being bounded by a second wall section spaced apart from the first wall section to define a gap therebetween, and a thermally conductive structure arranged within the gap and joined to the first and second wall sections to transfer heat therebetween, the gap being fluidly isolated from both the process fluid and the working fluid.

System and method for recovering waste heat

An engine system with exhaust gas recirculation includes a combustion engine, a flow mixer, and a turbocharger. An exhaust flow path and a charge air flow path each extend to an inlet of the flow mixer, and a mixed gas flow path extends between the outlet of the flow mixer and an intake manifold of the engine. A charge air heat exchanger is arranged along the charge air flow path to cool the charge air, and a mixed gas heat exchanger is arranged along the mixed gas flow path to cool mixed charge air and recirculated exhaust gas. The exhaust gas recirculation flow path does not extend through any heat exchangers.

Engine system with exhaust gas recirculation, and method of operating the same

An integrated heat exchanger and coolant reservoir includes a reservoir structure that extends in a length direction from one end to an opposite end. A coolant inlet is arranged at one of the ends, and a coolant outlet is arranged at one of the ends. Coolant volumes extend in parallel along the length direction, and are fluidly connected in series to define a coolant flow path between the coolant inlet and the coolant outlet. An internal structure arranged within the reservoir structure has walls that separate individual coolant volumes from one another. Refrigerant flow paths are provided within at least one of the walls.

Integrated heat exchanger and coolant reservoir

A heat exchanger for transferring heat from a hot gas to a fluid includes two or more corrugated fin structures defining a plurality of hot gas flow channels extending in a generally linear first direction. A fluid conduit includes an outer wall at least partially bonded to at least two of the corrugated fin structures. The fluid conduit defines a plurality of sequentially arranged flow passes for the fluid traveling therethrough. Each of the plurality of flow passes directs the fluid in a direction generally perpendicular to the first direction.

Heat exchanger and method of making the same

A heat exchanger for transferring heat from a hot gas to a fluid includes two or more corrugated fin structures defining a plurality of hot gas flow channels. Each of the plurality of hot gas flow channels extends in a generally linear first direction. A fluid conduit includes an outer wall at least partially bonded to at least two of the corrugated fin structures. The fluid conduit defines a plurality of sequentially arranged flow passes for the fluid traveling therethrough. Each of the plurality of flow passes directs the fluid in a direction generally perpendicular to the first direction.

A side plate for a heat exchanger, a heat exchanger and a method for making a heat exchanger are provided. The side plate, which may be incorporated into the heat exchanger, includes a first body piece having a first edge and a second body piece having a second edge. The first and second edges are separated by an opening except for point connections. After the heat exchanger is assembled the point connections may be sheared to permit the side plate to expand and contract as a result of positive and negative stresses.

Self-breaking radiator side plates

A fuel supply system includes a source of oxidizer providing oxidizer at an oxidizer pressure, a source of fuel providing fuel at a fuel pressure, and a fuel pressure regulator referenced to the oxidizer pressure. The fuel pressure regulator receives the fuel from the source of fuel at the fuel pressure, and discharges the fuel at an outlet pressure that is lower than the fuel pressure and proportional to the oxidizer pressure.

Oxidizer-referenced fuel supply system

A base plate for mounting a router in a support table provides a plate configured to fit in an orifice, having an inwardly extending ledge thereabout, defined in the support table with the router supported by the base plate to depend therefrom. The base plate defines a medial orifice for passage of the router shaft through the orifice for operative positioning of a cutter carried on the router shaft above the base plate. The base plate medial orifice releasably carries plural annular inserts to cover space between the router shaft and the support plate portion defining the medial orifice. Plural adjustment screws are carried in threaded engagement in the ledge of the support surface orifice for vertical motion to adjustably move adjacent portions of the base plate periphery upwardly from the ledge to create a coplanar relationship of adjacent portions of the base plate and support table. The base plate carries at least one releasably adjustable fastener to fasten the support plate on the ledge in the orifice defined in the support table.

Base plate for mounting router in a support table

A foldable table structure to releasably support the peripheral undersurface of the table portion of a commercial powered bench saw to provide support for and additional tabletop space about the bench saw table. The table provides an opposed rail ladder type frame to support the undersurface of the table of a bench saw table and surface forming elements to allow various modular arrays of these elements. The principal table releasably carries a lateral extension element and releasably supports an auxiliary table that is selectively positionable either perpendicularly or in an elongate orientation relative to the principal table. The modular design of the saw mounting structure allows its use with most bench saws of modern commerce. The principal table provides an adjustably positionable fence structure and allows use of the traditional amenities of ordinary table saws.
