A vehicle-mountable track-lighting light bar () supports multiple light modules () in user-configurable mounting positions, each of the multiple light modules having a mounting foot (), electrical contacts (), and laterally extending track-attachment members (). Multiple laterally spaced-apart electrically conductive pathways () are supported on a floor of each of light module mounting tracks (). A light module, when its mounting foot is set in a light module mounting track, is slidable lengthwise along the track length while its electrical contacts contact associated ones of the electrically conductive pathways. A controller () is electrically associated with the electrically conductive pathways so as to apply electrical signals for delivery to the electrical contacts of the light module.

An audible alert device includes a pulse width modulated signal generator. The audible alert device and method for manufacturing the audible alert device also provides resonant frequency and decibel peaking capabilities. Resonant frequency and decibel peaking routines may conducted at the time of manufacture, upon startup of the alarm or during operation of the alarm. The audible alert device may be programmed during a manufacturing step to exhibit a selected operation mode so that one circuit may be manufactured and programmed to operate in any of a number of operation modes or device configurations. A programming station allows an audible alert device to be programmed during a manufacturing step to exhibit a selected operation mode. Programming may occur by connection of the audible alert device to the programming device by one or more audible alert device power conductors.

A warning device including a status and function indicator circuit for indicating the status and function of the warning device. In a visual warning device such as a strobe light, the status and function indicator circuit includes a status output device such as an LED. The LED and associated circuitry are configured to indicate both proper operation of the visual warning device and, in the event of a device failure, will indicate whether the fault lies with circuitry for the visual warning device or simply with a warning output device.

A visual alert system including at least two visual alert devices conductively connected to form an array. Each visual alert device includes a control circuit. The control circuits of the visual alert devices are connected by a flash mode interconnect line. The control circuits, thus interconnected are capable of sensing changes in voltage between the first and second control circuits across the flash mode interconnect line and therefore between the first and second visual alert devices. The visual alert devices, through their respective control circuits, may be programmed and selectively switched to operate in a variety of flash modes including an alternating mode or a synchronous mode.
