An electronic smoking article or electronic vaping article includes a reservoir containing a liquid material and having an outlet, a capillary having a capillary inlet and a capillary outlet, the capillary inlet of the capillary in communication with the outlet of the reservoir, a heater operable to heat the capillary to a temperature sufficient to at least initially volatilize liquid material contained within the capillary, and a shuttle valve between the outlet of the reservoir and the capillary inlet. The shuttle valve is operable to prevent release of liquid material from the reservoir when the shuttle valve is in a closed position and is operable to release liquid material from the reservoir when the shuttle valve is in an open position.

Electronic smoking article

An electronic smoking article includes a first section containing a liquid supply reservoir including liquid material, a heater operable to heat the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol, and a wick in communication with the liquid material and operable to deliver the liquid material to the heater, and a second section containing a power supply. The first section is connected to the second section with a connection including a first connector piece and a second connector piece.

A portable charging case configured to contain and charge an electronic vaping device or a battery thereof is provided. The portable charging case includes a body, a cover hingedly connected to the body at a hinge axle, and a hinge assembly. The hinge assembly includes a biasing component including a pin having an integrally formed straight first end portion and a curved second end portion. The biasing component also includes a spring arranged about the straight first end portion of the pin. The pin extends through an opening in a housing, such that the spring presses against a bottom surface of the housing and against a base of the curved second end portion of the pin.
