The present disclosure is directed to robotic surgical system that includes an operating console configured to operate at least one robotic arm and at least one drive motor configured to receive an input from the operating console and control the at least one robotic arm based on the input from the operating console. A surgical instrument is coupled to the at least one robotic arm. The surgical instrument is inserted into a patient and captures an image of a region of interest inside the patient during a surgical procedure. A controller receives the image and applies at least one image processing filter to identify at least one non-visible property of an object in the region of interest. A display displays the image to a user.

Augmented surgical reality environment for a robotic surgical system

The present disclosure is directed to an augmented reality surgical system for viewing an augmented image of a region of interest during a surgical procedure. The system includes an image capture device that captures an image of the region of interest. A controller receives the image and applies at least one image processing filter to the image. The image processing filter includes a spatial decomposition filter that decomposes the image into spatial frequency bands. A temporal filter is applied to the spatial frequency bands to generate temporally filtered bands. An adder adds each band spatial frequency band to a corresponding temporally filtered band to generate augmented bands. A reconstruction filter generates an augmented image by collapsing the augmented bands. A display displays the augmented image to a user.

A method for automating physiologic alerts and derived parameters with trending heuristics includes receiving at a mobile patient monitor interface, a first input expression indicative of a first parameter source for first patient parameters from a first medical device from a user. The method further includes receiving, at the mobile patient monitor interface, a second input expression indicative of a second parameter source for second patient parameters from a second medical device from a user. The method further includes applying, at the mobile patient monitor interface, a smoothing operator to the first input expression and the second input expression. The method further includes evaluating, at the mobile patient monitor interface, a complex expression of the first patient parameters and the second patient parameters based on the smoothing operator to initiate display of at least one parameter, derived parameter, trend, or alert on a remote device.

System, method, and software for automating physiologic displays and alerts with trending heuristics

A system is presented including at least one sensor and a monitor in operable communication with the at least one sensor. The monitor is configured to display a plurality of graphs each representing a measured physiologic parameter versus time, the plurality of graphs configured to be aligned with respect to each other along a time axis. A marker moves along the time axis of each of the plurality of graphs in response to an input received from an input unit. The plurality of graphs are stacked with respect to each other in a vertical orientation and in a non-overlapping manner.

Time alignment display technique for a medical device

A medical device communication system is presented including a plurality of medical devices, a data collection module for receiving at least pre-defined configuration parameters from each of the plurality of medical devices, and a medical device driver communicating with the data collection module, the medical device driver automatically capturing post-defined configuration parameters from the plurality of medical devices. The medical device communication system includes at least one remote device configured to receive the pre-defined and post-defined configuration parameters from the data collection module. The post-defined configuration parameters are received after the medical device driver is initially written and after initial electrical communication is established between the medical device driver and the data collection module. The medical device driver is prevented from being re-written each time post-defined configuration parameters are transmitted from at least one of the plurality of medical devices to the data collection module.

The method further includes evaluating, at the mobile patient monitor interface, a complex expression of the first patient parameters and the second patient parameters based on the precedence order to initiate display of at least one parameter, derived parameter, trend, or alert on a remote device.

A method for automating complex alerts includes receiving, at a complex alert interface, first parameters from at least one medical device and a first comparison operator. The first parameters and the first comparison operator are indicative of a first condition. The second parameters and the second comparison operator are indicative of a second condition. The method further includes generating, at the complex alert interface, a complex alert expression based on a mathematical aggregate of the first condition and the second condition. The method further includes evaluating the complex alert expression to initiate display of at least one alert.

A method for controlling alert notifications includes receiving, at an alert notification monitor, notifications from at least one medical device. The method further includes analyzing, at the alert notification monitor, the notifications based on one or more complex triggers to identify at least one triggered notification. A method for communicating with medical devices includes receiving, at a medical device communication interface, patient parameters from a first and second medical device in a respective first and second format. The method further includes identifying, at the medical device communication interface, a first and second protocol associated with the patient parameters by comparing the patient parameters and the first and second format to a predefined schema. The method further includes modifying, at the medical device communication interface, a respective configuration parameter for each of the first and second medical devices. The method further includes translating the patient parameters based on the first and second identified protocols and the respective configuration parameter for each of the first and second medical devices.

A method of integrating physiologic data including receiving physiologic treatment data from at least two bedside machines and converting the physiologic treatment data into a machine independent format. The physiologic treatment data can be presented in perceptual real-time. For example, physiologic treatment data from multiple sources can be simultaneously presented within a single graphical user interface. The graphical user interface can be interactive so that displayed graphs can be replotted and timelines revised responsive to user input, such as a point-and-drag motion.
