An intermodal container tipping apparatus includes an upper support structure configured to be releasably mounted to a container transfer device, such as a reach stacker or crane, and a second support structure configured to be releasably mounted to an intermodal container. The lower supports structure includes at least one arcuate beam. The at least one arcuate beam attaches the lower support structure to the upper support structure. Movement of the at least one arcuate beam relative to the upper support structure causes tipping of the lower support structure and any load attached thereto while substantially maintaining a relative position of the center of gravity of the load.

Apparatus for tipping intermodal containers

A system mounted on a powered industrial vehicle for detecting classifying and tracking in real time at least one obstruction in the scene around the vehicle. The vehicle is capable of moving in multiple directions. The system includes a multiple cameras mounted on the vehicle, wherein the viewing zones viewed respectively by the cameras preferably encompass 360&#xb0; horizontally around the vehicle. Each of the cameras is operatively attached to an image processor, which processes the image frames acquired respectively by the camera. When a pedestrian is present in the viewing zone viewed by one of the cameras, the image processor attached to the one camera identifies in at least one of the image frames at least a portion of an image of the detected pedestrian.

An improved gantry crane that has a control cab mounted for vertical up and down movement substantially parallel with respect to the upstanding columns of the crane between a lowermost position adjacent the ground and infinite positions within a fixed range. One or both of the sill beams of the crane include a downwardly offset mid-portion extending adjacent to the ground but spaced therefrom with the mid-portion of one of the sill beams being positioned to receive the control cab when in the lowermost position thereof. A supporting beam supports the control cab therebeneath so that the operator in the cab has a 360 degree substantially unobstructed view in all directions.

A container handling apparatus for lifting a container by first and second apertures in opposite sides thereof, comprising: a frame having first and second sides; first and second reciprocating beams mounted to the frame for inward and outward movement with respect thereto, respectively from the first and second sides thereof; first and second inwardly directed pins, respectively attached to clamp heads at the ends of the reciprocating beams, for registered insertion into the container's side apertures; hydraulic cylinders or motor driven screws for reciprocating the beams with respect to the frame between a released condition and a gripping condition; and either a lock wedge operating against a striker plate and aperture or compression washers for causing the reciprocating beams to move inwardly while in the gripping condition so as to track decreases in the width of the container due to bowing as the container is lifted. Proximity switches on the clamp heads sense engagement of the pins with the container's side apertures, and downwardly extending guides locate the frame on the container.

The dust collecting bin of an air cleaner system of the type including a centrifugal-type separator for separating dust from air is coupled to the exhaust port of a pressurized air brake system so that any dust collected in the bin will be blown therefrom by any pressurized air exhausted from the brake system.

Air cleaner

An apparatus for use in reclaiming bulk material such as bean meal or the like from a pile of such material. A self-propelled wheeled vehicle is equipped with an elongated boom. An endless belt-like member is movably positioned along the length of the boom. A plurality of platelike blades are attached to the endless belt-like member for movement along the length of the boom so that when the boom is positioned against or adjacent a pile of bulk material, the platelike blades will scrape, rake or otherwise convey portions of the bulk material from the pile to an under-floor conveyor or the like.
