An apparatus including a first display configured to be able to display user content and to have an active display state in which said user content can be stably displayed via active powering of the display, and a second display configured to be able to display user content and to have a passive display state in which said user content can be stably displayed without active powering of the display. The apparatus is configured such that the first display is positioned to at least partially overlie and cover the second display to provide a covered region of the second display. The apparatus is also configured such that the content on the second display in the covered region can be viewed through the first display.

Apparatus and associated methods

A method and related apparatus for manufacturing organic semiconductor systems uses reel-to-reel processing to deposit organic semiconductor material at desired locations on the surface of a substrate to produce desired circuit functionality. The fabric substrate is further laminated for integration with an item such as a garment or other fabric or material and becomes a part thereof imparting intelligence to the item.

Method for manufacturing organic semiconductor systems

Grooves in a desired circuit configuration are formed in the surface of a substrate to pre-pattern the area to receive material forming an organic thin film transistor (OTFT) structure and interconnecting conductive paths. The OTFT material is deposited in the pre-patterned area using printing techniques such as ink jet printing. In one embodiment, the grooves are formed in the surface substrate during the injection molding process of the substrate. Inter-exchangeable device covers carry different substrates to provide different functionalities of an electronic device with which the covers are used.

A digital camera for use in a communication device in which the image sensor is formed on a substrate and is mounted on a micro-electromechanical system for movement relative to the camera lens to provide an autofocus capability. In addition the lens may be mounted on a micro-electromechanical system for movement relative to the image sensor to provide both an autofocus and a zoom capability.
