The invention concerns a method, device and computer program product for monitoring or planning a dive of a diver. The method includes providing data on the composition of gases breathed by the diver during the dive, providing data on the depth or ambient pressure of the diver, and using a model to provide a safe ascent profile for the diver based on the data on the composition of gases and on the depth or ambient pressure. According to the invention, the method further comprising detecting, based on the data on the composition of gases, a gas composition change which may lead to a deep tissue isobaric counter diffusion situation, and the model comprising means for immediately temporally retarding the ascent profile if such gas composition change is detected. The invention can be used to mitigate the harmful effects of dangerous breathing gas changes during diving.

Method of monitoring diving and a system for monitoring or planning a dive

This invention relates to an editor system for graphical user interfaces used in personal devices, and to a method for enabling a user to selectively display data and edit parameters on the user interface, and to a personal device, like a wristop or a diving computer. In order to edit the graphical user interface having at least one display view, where each set of data fields are arranged in a predetermined manner on the display view, the inventive editor system provides user access to a data field out of a set of data fields to allow user selection of parameters in this field. A list of parameter options valid for said field is displayed for selection by the user, the parameter value of which is to be displayed in said field.

Graphical user interface editor system and method for personal devices

The invention relates to an underwater communication system and method. The system comprises at least one underwater remote device comprising a processing unit and functionally connected to the processing unit first magnetoinductive communication means capable of communicating with other underwater devices using magnetic induction, and a wearable underwater monitor device comprising second magnetoinductive communication means capable of communicating with said remote device using magnetic induction. According to the invention, the remote device further comprises functionally connected to said processing unit acoustic communication means capable of transmitting acoustic signals. The invention helps to keep the monitor device small and energy efficient, still allowing for long-distance underwater communications.

Underwater communication system and related communicating method and devices

A diving computer, a computer program, and a method for determining ascent time in a diving computer. Determining ascent time is accomplished by initially receiving initial data on the available gases and measuring the prevailing pressure and diving time. Then, based on information received in connection with the initial data, the gases are divided into at least primary (A) and secondary (B) gases, and an optimal dive plan is calculated based on the initial data of the primary gases (A), the prevailing pressure, and a surfacing model.
