Provided is a double-row roller bearing, which is capable of suppressing a frictional force from being increased due to variation in force of press contact between outer and inner rings and rollers to enable smoother relative rotational movement between the outer ring and the inner ring, and is also suitable for downsizing and higher in versatility.

Provided is a ball joint capable of coupling a third mechanical element in a freely pivotable manner near a pivot center of a first mechanical element and a second mechanical element coupled to each other in a freely pivotable manner. The ball joint includes: a ball stud including: a shaft member configured to allow a first mechanical element to be coupled thereto; and a ball portion formed at a distal end of the shaft member; a holder including a fixing port ion configured to allow a second mechanical element to be coupled thereto, the holder being formed through casting with the ball portion being set as a core to cover a maximum diameter portion of the ball portion, the holder being configured to couple the first mechanical element and the second mechanical element in a freely pivotable manner with the ball portion defining a pivot center; and a pivot shaft that protrudes out of the holder in a direction of intersecting with the shaft member of the ball stud to define a second pivot center independently of the ball portion, and to serve as a coupling portion for a third mechanical element, the pivot shaft being integrated with the holder at the time of the casting of the holder.

A thrust transfer device includes: a motor serving as a driving source; a sun gear rotatable to an output shaft of the motor, a plurality of nut members each provided with an outer peripheral external tooth meshed with the sun gear and provided with an inner peripheral nut side spiral screw groove; and a plurality of screw shafts, each provided, at an outer periphery thereof, with a screw side spiral screw groove corresponding to the nut side spiral screw groove, and reciprocally moved in accordance with nut rotation by fitting the screw side screw groove into the nut side screw groove; and an internal tooth gear meshed with the external tooth formed to each of the nut members. When the sun gear is rotated, the nut members perform planetary motion inside the internal tooth gear, by which the screw shafts are reciprocally moved in axial directions thereof.

There are provided a spherical bearing and a method for manufacturing the same, in which both of a ball bearing section and a ball section made of metal can make light and smooth swinging and rotary motions for a long period of time without biased wear and seize-up of those members even if the solid bodies of them can contact with each other due to a discontinuous oil film under a heavy load. A resin liner that contacts the ball section of the inner member in a sliding relationship is embedded in the ball bearing section, and a resin sliding contact surface provided by the resin liner and the metal sliding surface are adjacent to each other without any gap to form a sliding contact surface at the bearing section.

A method of manufacturing sliding bearings of the type in which a sliding guide surface is formed by using a resin liner, including fixing a thermosetting resin, which constitutes the resin liner, on the whole or a part of a sliding guide surface of a first member by an injection molding operation using the first member as a core, thereafter molding a second member, which covers a sliding guide surface of the first member, by a metal molding operation with the resin liner-fixed first member placed firmly as a core in a metal mold, and thermally curing the resin liner with the heat working on the sliding surface of the first member during the molding of this second member.
