An information transmitting and receiving system having an information transmitting device including: an information reading section; an information processing section which divides the information into a plurality of information segments, and gives an identifier uniquely to each divided information segment; and an information transmitting section which repeatedly transmits a bundle of identifiers in a first period of time, and an information receiving device including: an information receiving section which receives the identifiers; an information selecting section which selects an information segment desired to read; a display section which displays the information segment desired to read; and a display control section which controls the information display section such that if the information receiving section does not receive the identifier given to the information segment desired to read within a second period of time, stops displaying the information segment.

Information transmitting and receiving system, information transmitting device, and information receiving device

A monitor camera is provided with a control device which carries out a predetermined process in response to an input of a trigger signal. The control device has an arrangement in that continuous images are successively inputted from a camera unit thereto and in that a detection of a moving object is carried out by detecting a change in images in a moving-object detector. When no change in images is detected by the moving-object detector within a predetermined time after the input of a trigger signal from a detection sensor to a trigger signal input unit, the control device determines the trigger signal inputted to the trigger signal input unit as valid. Then, only when the valid trigger signal has been detected, an abnormality process is carried out. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the abnormality process from being performed upon erroneous detection of a normal state as an abnormal state.

Control device and method

A monitoring apparatus according to the present invention has an image taking section which captures images of a plurality of image capturing areas, a detecting section which detects an object to be monitored based on an image obtained by the image taking section, a command receiving section which receives a command for remote control, and a command executing section which executes a process corresponding to the received command when the object is not detected by the detecting section.

When an image capturing apparatus and an operation apparatus become connected to each other, function information is transmitted from the image capturing apparatus to the operation apparatus. The operation apparatus can recognize the functions effective in the image capturing apparatus by receiving the function information from the image capturing apparatus. The operation apparatus compares the received function information with the functions that can be processed by the operation apparatus, and sets the protocol. The protocol includes ones that is associated with a moving image attribute associated with moving image data and that is associated with the shooting function of the image capturing apparatus. Then, the operation apparatus transmits protocol information to the image capturing apparatus. Thereafter, the image capturing apparatus and the operation apparatus perform data communication based on the protocol.
