A rotation angle detection device for detecting a rotation angle of a rotating body includes a magnet disposed to rotate together with the rotating body, a magnetic portion provided in a ring shape radially outward of the magnet, a plurality of gaps being formed in the magnetic portion at a plurality of locations along a circumferential direction, and a magnetic detection unit arranged in a particular gap of the plurality of gaps. The magnetic detection unit is located at a detection position, a width of the particular gap in the tangential direction at the detection position is defined as a detection position gap width, a width of the particular gap in the tangential direction at a position radially outward of the detection position is defined as a tangential width, and the tangential width is narrower than the detection position gap width.

Rotation angle detection device

An output terminal of a signal output device is connected through a branch path to a voltage dividing point in a main path, and transmits an output signal based on a voltage of the voltage dividing point to an outside. A signal generation circuit adjusts the voltage of the voltage dividing point and generates the output signal. A short circuit detection circuit detects a short circuit between the output terminal and another terminal when a current flowing in the branch path is greater than a predetermined short circuit detection threshold. A switching circuit switches a current carrying capacity or a configuration of the signal generation circuit to limit a short circuit current flowing in the branch path when the short circuit is detected. The short circuit current is set to a value equal to or greater than the short circuit detection threshold and less than a current upper limit value.

Signal output device

A communication apparatus operates with a supply voltage of a power and transmits a sensor value with a digital communication method using consecutive frames. In the communication apparatus, a data source unit is configured to generate a frame using a data of a sensor value processed by a signal processing unit. A switching unit is configured to perform a signal switching to permit a transmission circuit to perform a re-transmission of re-transmitting a signal including the sensor value stored in a memory in response to a restoration of the power after an instantaneous power interruption. A frame monitoring unit is configured to monitor a status of a frame transmission and determine a frame at the occurrence of the instantaneous power interruption. The sensor value to be re-transmitted is determined based on information of the frame determined by the frame monitoring unit at the occurrence of the instantaneous power interruption.

Communication apparatus

A magnetic field detection device includes an IC package, a terminal, a resin mold member. The IC package includes a magnetism detection element, a lead frame located on a first side of the magnetism detection element, and a resin member covering the magnetism detection element and the lead frame. The resin mold member includes a base portion and a head portion. The head portion includes a thickest portion. An outer wall surface of the thickest portion located on a second side of the magnetism detection element is a detection reference surface. An element corresponding surface that is an outer wall surface of the IC package located on the second side is exposed to an outside of resin mold member or covered with a detection side thin portion thinner than a thickness from the element corresponding surface to the detection side reference surface.

Magnetic field detection device

The present disclosure provides a rotational angle detecting device. An IC substrate has a flat surface extending along a rotational axis of a throttle valve. Yokes forms, together with the magnets, a closed magnetic circuit. A first Hall element outputs a first signal according to the magnetic flux density in a first direction along the flat surface. A second Hall element outputs a second signal according to the magnetic flux density in a second direction intersecting the flat surface. The first and second Hall elements are positioned within a region that is surrounded by the magnets and the yoke and that is between an edge surface and an edge surface.

Position detecting device

A method for manufacturing semiconductor devices is provided. The method includes bonding a semiconductor element to a first surface of a planar lead frame, clamping a partial area of the lead frame to hold the lead frame and the semiconductor element in molding dies, and covering at least a part of the lead frame and the semiconductor element with a resin member by resin molding which fills the molding dies with resin. A thin-walled portion having a relative small thickness is previously formed on a shortest virtual line connecting a clamp area of the lead frame to an area where the semiconductor element is bonded.

Method for manufacturing semiconductor devices

A position detector apparatus includes a detector part, wiring, a resin part, a resin body, a terminal, and a lead frame. The resin part has a thickness at a wiring side portion of the detector part that is greater than a thickness on a side opposite to the wiring side portion. Therefore, when injection-molding the resin part, due to a thickness change of the resin part, the detector part is pressed against a metal mold and a position of the detecting part is fixed. Further, the resin body has a thick-resin portion and a thin-resin portion. The thickness of the thin-resin portion allows a predetermined amount of dislocation of the detector part. Therefore, if the detector part is exposed, water is prevented from intruding the lead frame and the terminal.

Position detector apparatus

A position detecting device includes a first sensor portion having a first mold resin object molded for a first magnetic sensor and a first wiring and a second sensor portion having a second mold resin object molded for a second magnetic sensor and a second wiring. The first sensor portion and the second sensor portion have a protrusion part defined between the first magnetic sensor of the first sensor portion and the second magnetic sensor of the second sensor portion to provide a clearance between the first magnetic sensor and the second magnetic sensor.

A magnetism sensing element is provided to be rotatable relative to permanent magnets and outputs a magnetic force detection value, which corresponds to a perpendicular component of magnetic flux. A Hall IC calculates and outputs an output voltage, which corresponds to a relative rotational angle between the permanent magnets and the magnetism sensing element, based on the magnetic force detection value outputted by the magnetism sensing element. The Hall IC calculates the output voltage as V=k&#xd7;arcsin(V/(VM+&#x3b1;))+Voffset, in which V, V, VM, k, &#x3b1; and Voffset indicate the magnetic force detection value, the output voltage, a maximum value of the magnetic force detection value, a gain, a predetermined value and a predetermined offset value.

Rotation angle detecting device

In a rotation angle detecting device, a signal from a first magnetism detecting element is outputted to a signal output part of a first IC package. A first signal output terminal outputs the signal from the first magnetism detecting element to outside. A signal from a second magnetism detecting element is outputted to a signal output part of a second IC package. A second signal output terminal outputs the signal from the second magnetism detecting element to outside. At least one of a power supply terminal and a ground terminal is located between the first and second signal output terminals. A rotary drive unit includes the device, a motor that rotates a detection object, and a motor power source wire. The ground terminal and a motor power source terminal are adjacent to each other.

Rotation angle detecting device and rotary drive unit by use thereof

A position detection device includes a first component provided by molding of a first mold resin with a first hall IC, a second component provided by molding of a second mold resin with a second hall IC, a terminal connected to a first wiring of the first component and to a second wiring of the second component, and a third mold resin molded to hold and protect the first component, the second component and the terminal. The third mold resin fixing the first component and the second component to each other. Accordingly, the position detection device can be provided, which includes a component usable commonly for a variety of position detection devices which are different in the number of hall ICs.

Position detection device

According to a method for making a resin hollow body, in a primary-formation process, molten resin is injected into spaces defined by dies to form resin components. In a die-moving process, each component is held in at least one die. Joining edges of the components are brought close through relative movement of the dies to make a predetermined arrangement of the components. In a secondary-formation process, molten resin is injected into a region where the edges are adjacent. The edges are joined to form an outer wall, partition wall, and hollow portion of the hollow body. At least one of the edges constituting the partition wall includes a linear groove. In the die-moving process, the partition-wall-constituting edges are brought into contact to define by the groove a linear hollow cavity surrounded with the edges. In the secondary-formation process, the cavity is filled with molten resin to join the partition-wall-constituting edges.

Method for making resin hollow body and air flow measuring device

An air flow measuring device includes a fitted part, a housing, a flow sensor, and a temperature sensor component. A projection shape of the fitted part onto an imaginary plane is a first circle. On the imaginary plane, a first point and a second point are located on the first circle or inward of the first circle, and a third point is located inward of the first circle. A diameter of an imaginary circle passing through the first, second, and third points is larger than a diameter of the first circle. The first, second, and third points have such a positional relationship that, when at least one of the first and second points comes into contact with an inner peripheral surface of an attachment hole at time of insertion of the housing into a duct, the third point is away from the inner peripheral surface of the attachment hole.

Air flow measuring device having preventive measures of preventing temperature sensor from damage during insertion

An air flow rate measuring device includes a housing, a sensor assembly, and an urging mechanism. The housing defines an internal flow passage, through which air taken in by the device passes, and the housing includes a contact surface. The sensor assembly includes a sensor chip and a contact surface. The sensor chip is configured to generate an electrical signal through a heat transfer phenomenon. The sensor assembly is inserted and fixed in the housing such that the sensor chip is exposed to the internal flow passage. The contact surface of the sensor assembly is in surface contact with the contact surface of the housing. The urging mechanism is configured to press the contact surface of the sensor assembly on the contact surface of the housing, so that the sensor assembly is fixed to the housing by the urging mechanism.

Air flow rate measuring device

A flow measuring device includes a flow rate sensor, an electronic circuit, a connector, and an adjusting terminal. The sensor outputs a detection signal in accordance with a flow rate. The circuit is electrically connected to the sensor to control input into and output from the sensor. The connector includes a connecting terminal and a connector housing. The connecting terminal electrically connects together the circuit and an external device. The housing is formed in a cylindrical shape having a bottom and an opening to hold the connecting terminal. The housing includes a projection portion that projects from a bottom face of the bottom toward the opening. The adjusting terminal is electrically connected to the circuit to adjust the circuit. The adjusting terminal is held by the housing and includes an exposed part exposed from the housing. The exposed part is exposed from a surface of the projection portion on an opening-side.
