To provide a fuel pump mounting structural body that allows a mounting space for a fuel tank and the number of manufacturing processes to be reduced. A fuel pump mounting structural body accommodates a fuel pump unit in an opening portion disposed in a fuel tank. The structural body includes a step portion disposed in the opening portion. The step portion is formed one step lower than a wall surface of the fuel tank. A lid portion of the fuel pump unit is fittingly attached to the step portion and includes a delivery port for fuel. A guide member is disposed on a peripheral edge of the opening portion. The guide member includes a removably mounted holding member. The fuel pump unit is held in position by the fuel pump mounting structural body.

Fuel pump mounting structural body

A motorcycle body frame structure made of an aluminum-based alloy, and suitable for off-road jumping and landing due to its increased rigidity and toughness, and the large stroke of its shock absorber. Maintenance is facilitated because the upper frame member is detachable from the head pipe and from the coupling member connecting the rear portions of the upper and lower frame members. The strength of the engine hanger is enhanced by securing it to a member connecting the front and rear frame portions. A large-size fuel tank is accommodated in a space defined between the upper frame member and left and right lower frame members.

A damper is interposed between a body of a vehicle and a wheel support arm adapted to support a wheel and mounted swingingly on the body, and a control device is operatively connected to a damping force generating device mounted to the damper for controlling the increase and decrease of a damping force of the damping force generating device in response to the swing motion of the wheel support arm. Therby a more effective damping function is exhibited to improve a riding comfort.

Damping force control device for vehicle damper

A motorcycle includes a fuel tank mounted on a frame along a length thereof, and an elongated seat mounted on the frame above the fuel tank along the length of said frame, the seat having a bottom having a portion extending along the length thereof and disposed in spaced opposed relation to an upper surface of the fuel tank to form an air intake passageway therebetween. The passageway has an open front end opening toward the front end of the frame and having a rear open end. The seat has a front end disposed near a front end of the fuel tank so that the seat covers generally the entire upper surface of the fuel tank. An air cleaner is operatively connected to an engine and is disposed rearwardly of the fuel tank. The rear open end of the passageway is in communication with the air cleaner whereby the ambient air can be fed to the air cleaner through the air intake passageway.

There is disclosed a frame-rear suspension assembly for a motorcycle and the like which comprises a frame including right and left tubular members, a rear fork pivotally connected to the right and left tubular members and a cross member made of a light alloy and provided between the right and left tubular members, and a rear-suspension system including a spring-loaded damper with one end pivotally connected to the frame, and link means for connecting the other end of the spring-loaded damper to the rear fork. The cross member is detachably connected between the right and left tubular members and the link means is connected to the cross member.

Frame-rear suspension assembly for a motorcycle and the like

An air intake system in a motorized cycle of the type wherein a fuel tank is disposed behind a top bridge. Within the fuel tank is formed an outside air introducing path having an opening formed in the front portion of the tank, with an air cleaner being disposed downstream of the outside air introducing path. With such arrangement, a relatively large flow of air can be introduced with a relatively small load on the air cleaner.

Air intake system for motorized cycles

A radiator mounting mechanism for a motorcycle provided with a water-cooled engine. A pair of radiators are positioned below a fuel tank and are movably supported to a frame by means of the radiator mounting mechanism. The mechanism includes a guide means for guiding the movement of the radiators, and a fixing means for releasably fix the radiator at a desired position relative to the frame.

A power transmission operating pedal in a motorcycle, wherein a base end of a pedal arm is fixedly secured to a power transmission operating shaft projecting from a lateral surface of a power transmission casing, and the other end thereof is joined with a pedal through a vertical shaft in a manner to be collapsible only in the backward direction, and wherein an elastic member is provided along the pedal arm to maintain the pedal at its pedalling position by its restitutive action.
