A second axis is located on a lower side with respect to a first axis and on a first widthwise side with respect to the first axis. An inverter device is disposed on the first widthwise side with respect to the second axis so that a disposition area in an up-down direction overlaps a rotary electric machine and a pair of output members. At least a part of a breather chamber is disposed between the rotary electric machine and the inverter device in a width direction in an area in the up-down direction where both the rotary electric machine and the inverter device are disposed.

Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device includes a rotary electric machine, an inverter, and a case. The case includes a main body portion and a cover portion. The main body portion houses the rotary electric machine and at least a part of the inverter. The cover portion is joined to the main body portion so as to cover an opening portion of the main body portion. The inverter includes a cooler, a first unit that is fixed to the cooler so as to be along a first reference plane, and a second unit that is fixed to the cooler so as to be along a second reference plane. The cooler is fixed to the main body portion.

In an inverter module () including a plurality of switching elements (), a positive-polarity bus bar (), a negative-polarity bus bar (), and a plurality of output bus bars (, and), the plurality of output bus bars (, and) are disposed in a first direction (D) in which upper-stage-side switching elements (U) and lower-stage-side switching elements (L) are placed side by side, and the positive-polarity bus bar () and the negative-polarity bus bar () are disposed in a second direction (D) intersecting the first direction (D).

Inverter unit

A vehicle drive device that includes a rotating electrical machine that together with an internal combustion engine serves as a driving force source for wheels, a speed change device disposed next to the rotating electrical machine in an axial direction, or a direction in which a rotation axis of the rotating electrical machine extends, a drive device case formed by joining a first case accommodating the rotating electrical machine and a second case accommodating the speed change device, and a rotating electrical machine control device that controls the rotating electrical machine and that is fixed to outside of one of the first case and the second case.

A vehicle drive device that includes a body case that accommodates at least the rotary electric machine; an inverter case joined to the body case; and an inverter case cover joined to the inverter case; wherein an inverter housing that accommodates the inverter device is formed in a space enclosed by at least the inverter case; wherein a connection terminal electrically connecting the rotary electric machine and the inverter device is disposed in the inverter housing; wherein the case outer wall is formed by a first outer wall, a second outer wall, and the inverter case cover, the first outer wall being an outer wall of the body case, the second outer wall being an outer wall of the inverter case; and wherein a supply port and a discharge port for liquid refrigerant for cooling the inverter device are formed on the second outer wall.

A vehicle drive device that includes a rotary electric machine that serves as a drive force source for wheels; a speed change mechanism; a pump motor that serves as a drive force source for an electric pump that generates a hydraulic pressure to be supplied to a servo mechanism for the speed change mechanism; a case that accommodates the speed change mechanism; and a first inverter that controls the rotary electric machine and a second inverter that controls the pump motor, the first inverter and the second inverter being connected to a common DC power source, wherein: the first inverter and the second inverter are disposed in the case; and a first wiring member that extends from the DC power source is branched in the case to be connected to each of the first inverter and the second inverter.

An inverter device including a plurality of switching elements that convert electric power between DC power and AC power, a base plate that includes a surface on which the switching elements are placed, AC terminals through which AC power is input and output to and from an external device and which are electrically connected to the switching elements, and a capacitor that smoothes DC power. The AC terminals are disposed to protrude from the base plate perpendicular to the surface in a first reference direction. The capacitor is disposed in a rectangular area so that long sides of the rectangle are parallel to the first reference direction in plan view, and is set adjacent to a base disposition area, in which the base plate and the AC terminals are disposed in a second reference direction that is a direction perpendicular to the first reference direction.

Inverter device

An inverter includes a plurality of switching elements that convert between DC and AC power. A base plate includes a surface on which the switching elements are placed. Heat dissipating fins are provided on the opposite side of the base plate. Power is input and output through AC power terminals to and from a rotary electric machine to drive a vehicle. The terminals are electrically connected to the switching elements. A capacitor smoothes the DC power. The inverter is fixed to a case of the rotary electric machine. A rotating shaft of the rotary electric machine extends in a width direction of the vehicle. The base plate is disposed adjacent to the AC terminals in the width direction. A plurality of AC phase-terminals is sequentially arrayed perpendicular to the rotating shaft. The capacitor is disposed adjacent to the heat dissipating fins on the rear side of the vehicle.

An electrical connection device configured with a conductive connection member having a joint portion joined to an electrode member while being pressed against the electrode member in a pressing direction. An insulating support body supports the connection member such that the connection member includes the joint portion which is formed in a flat plate shape and is brought into surface contact with a joint surface of the electrode member. Crossover portions sandwich the joint portion and extend toward both sides along a predetermined extending direction. Supported portions are provided at respective end portions, opposite the joint portion, of the crossover portions on both sides. The support body is disposed at least on both sides of the joint portion in the extending direction and spaced apart from the joint portion, and formed to integrally support the supported portions on both sides of the joint portion.

Electrical connection device

A current detection apparatus where a sensor unit that detects the magnetic field in a predetermined magnetic field detection direction is disposed in a vicinity such that the magnetic field detection direction is substantially orthogonal to an extension direction of the subject bus bar at the detection portion, one of the plurality of bus bars disposed adjacent to the subject bus bar is set as an adjacent bus bar, a plane that is orthogonal to an extension direction of each portion of the adjacent bus bar is set as an extension orthogonal plane of the portion, and the extension direction of each portion of the adjacent bus bar relative to the sensor unit is set such that none of the extension orthogonal planes of the respective portions of the adjacent bus bar pass through the sensor unit in a parallel direction to the magnetic field detection direction.
