A compound container has a container main body forming a first accommodation chamber, an auxiliary container forming a second accommodation chamber, a mounting part on which the auxiliary container is mounted in the container main body, a cutting part which cuts a second accommodation chamber partition wall which partitions a part of the second accommodation chamber formed in the auxiliary container, a contents outlet port in the container main body, and an opening pouring element mounted on the contents outlet port and having another cutting part which cuts a first accommodation chamber partition wall which partitions a part of the first accommodation chamber formed in the container main body.

Compound container and pouring-out method

Provided is a containerfor inspection which stores and pours out contents therein, and the container is provided with a container main bodyhaving a mouth portionformed thereon, a cover portionattached to the mouth portionto seal the container main body, and an opening capattached to the cover portion. The cover portionhas a closing wallfor closing the mouth portion, and the opening capis provided with an pouring outlet, and a cutting portionfor cutting the closing wall. When the opening capis attached to the cover portion, the cutting sectioncuts the closing wallto enable pouring out the contents. Thus, in the provided containerfor inspection, sealing properties of the container main bodyare ensured by the cover portion, and the closing wallof the cover portionis cut by the opening capattached to the cover portionwithout removing the cover portion, whereby the contents can be poured out.

Container for inspection

A controller for an underwater pump which operates to start and stop the pump in response to a water level detected by a water level sensor is disclosed. The controller (10) is constituted as a separate component which comprises a watertight case (11), a first connector (13) provided at a first predetermined position of the case for installation on a power connector (12) provided at a pump casing (51), a second connector (14) provided at a second predetermined position on the case, on which an external power connector (15) is to be installed, electronic parts and units (18, 19, 20) constituting a control circuit installed in the case for starting and stopping the pump based on signals output from the water level detection sensor (S.sub.1, S.sub.2, S.sub.3), and a cable (22) watertightly derived from the case externally for electrically connecting the control circuit and the water level sensor. The pump may be operated in an automatic operation mode. However, by removing the controller from the pump casing and the external power connector and by directly connecting the external power connector to the power connector of the pump, the pump may be converted to a non-automatic operation mode.

Controller for underwater pump

A submersible pump especially usable for civil engineering works is provided in which a wear resistant protecting member is disposed at the portion opposing the backside of an impeller shroud to protect that portion from wear due to abrasion by earth and sand contained in the liquid handled by the pump. The protecting member is provided with holes or portions similar to holes which are adapted to surround the exposed portions of the bolts so as to prohibit the liquid flow from directly contacting the bolt portions with flowing speed or kinetic energy so that wear of the bolts is prevented.

Submersible pump

An improved grinder pump of the water immersed type is disclosed which includes a motor driven semi-open type pump impeller, a grinder ring fitted and firmly mounted in the suction port at the bottom of the pump casing, the grinder ring being provided with a plurality of axially extending grinding grooves and edges on the inner surface thereof, and a grinder impeller fixedly screwed on the distal end of the pump shaft to be coupled to the pump impeller in an end-to-end relation, the grinder impeller being provided with at least two axially extending grinding blades provided on the lower conical surface of the hub thereof so that any foreign material contained in the pumping liquid is ground or shredded into smaller pieces by cooperation of the grinding edges of the grinder ring with the grinding blades of the grinder impeller. A plurality of radially extending auxiliary blades are provided on the upper surface of the hub of the grinder impeller so as to perform additional pumping and grinding operation. The grinding blades protrude downwardly beyond the bottom of the grinder ring to provide the additional effect of ensuring to prevent foreign material in the pumping liquid from directly entering the grinding grooves from the suction port and foreign material is subjected to repeated shredding by the agitation of the grinding blades.

Grinder pump

A submersible pump adapted to pump out the liquid in a reservoir has a built-in control unit for alternate pump operation. The control unit includes step memory means which provides a signal to permit the starting of pump operation every other time a high liquid level sensor senses the liquid. Once started, the pump continues its operation until the liquid level drops below a low liquid level sensor. The submersible pump can be combined with an additional pump having a conventional control unit in which case the two pumps are alternately operated.

A coupling system for detachably coupling an outlet port of a submergible pump to an inlet port of a discharge conduit is constructed by a single guide rail having at least two, and preferably, two guide portions extending along the length thereof, the rail being fixed at its lower end to the conduit; an arm attached to the pump so that it is guided by the rail; and first and second engaging means provided in the discharge conduit adjacent the inlet port and in the arm respectively so that the pump is held stationary when the pump is lowered and both the engaging means engage with each other. The whole system is made compact by arranging the orientation of the guide rail particularly when it is made of an angle bar. Also, further consideration is given to effect a line contact between the first and second engaging means to reduce the severe manufacturing tolerance necessary to achieve a satisfactory coupling between the inlet and outlet ports.
