A card connector which effectively prevents erroneous insertion of a card having a width smaller than a specified width has an introducing space formed between a body having contacts and a cover. An insertion preventing wall is formed in the body facing the upstream side in the card inserting direction. The cover includes a restricting plate projecting toward the introducing space, with the restricting plate being under a posture projecting further toward the introducing space on the downstream side in the card inserting direction. The restricting plate forms, at widthwise opposed ends thereof, contacting pieces which are deformed as coming into contact with widthwise opposed ends of a card, thereby lifting up the restricting plate.

A hand-held game machine () includes a horizontally-long rectangular housing (), and the housing is covered with a cover () almost entirely. A main surface of the housing is curved so as to become higher at the center of the housing in a horizontal direction and become lower toward right and left end portions. The cover to be attached on the housing is also curved according to the curve. At a center of the cover, a transparent window () is formed, and a display () is placed below it on the housing.

A hand-held game machine () includes a horizontally-long rectangular housing (), and the housing is covered with a cover () almost entirely. Each of top main surfaces of the housing and the cover has a plane shape of pincushion, and thus, the top main surface of the housing forms a lower inclined surface () connecting a lower side surface () and the top main surface of the housing. On the top main surface of the housing, a cross key () and an A button (), and a B button () are provided, and on the lower inclined surface (), a start switch () and a select switch () are arranged. On left and right edges of an upper side surface () of the housing, a left switch (L) and a right switch (R) are arranged. As to each of the left switch and the right switch, a switch portion is formed at one end nearer to a center of the housing in the horizontal direction, and a pin is provided at the other end opposite thereto. The pin is inserted into a bearing formed on the housing to function as a pivot at the other end of each of the left switch and the right switch.

A card connector which prevents a card from popping out when the card is discharged and is not easily broken. The card connector includes a base having a slot into which a card can be inserted, a slider which is provided at a position in the base to be abuttable on the card and which can be caused to slide, a spring forcing the slider in the discharging direction of the card, and a lock spring including a plate spring having a tip end engageable with an engagement recess of the card and a base end mounted on the slider. The tip end can be displaced in a direction away from the card, and base is provided with a first rib which abuts on the tip end of the lock spring to prevent the tip end from being displaced when the slider is positioned at the card pop-out preventing position.
