A surface-treated nanocellulose master batch includes a rubber component, a nanocellulose, a resole or novolac resorcin-formaldehyde initial condensation product, and formaldehyde. The the surface-treated nanocellulose master batch includes from 0.3 to 15 parts by mass of the nanocellulose per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. The the surface-treated nanocellulose master batch includes from 0.03 to 1.2 parts by mass of the resole or novolac resorcin-formaldehyde initial condensation product per 1 part by mass of the nanocellulose and 0.02 to 0.8 parts by mass of the formaldehyde per 1 part by mass of the nanocellulose.

Surface-treated nanocellulose master batch

Provide is a rubber composition for a tire that improves mechanical properties beyond conventional levels. The rubber composition for a tire according to an embodiment of the present invention contains from 1 to 50 parts by mass of oxidized cellulose nanofibers blended in 100 parts by mass of diene rubber containing 5% by mass or greater of modified diene rubber having 0.1% by mol or greater of a polar group.

A method of manufacturing a carbon material comprising a composite of a porous carbon material and a conductive polymer, in which a dispersion solution of the porous carbon material and a dispersion solution of the conductive polymer are mixed to make the composite of the porous carbon material and the conductive polymer. The carbon material has: a specific surface area of 750 to 3000 m/g, a methylene blue adsorption performance of 150 mL/g or more, and at least three peaks in a range 1250 to 1700 cmof a spectrum obtained by laser Raman spectroscopy with an excitation wavelength of 532 nm.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an electric double-layer capacitor, a lithium ion secondary battery, and a lithium ion capacitor, each of which has excellent cycle characteristics; an electrode material which is capable of providing the electric double-layer capacitor, the lithium ion secondary battery, and the lithium ion capacitor; and a composite which is used in the electrode material. The composite of the present invention is a composite produced by compositing from 0.5 to 5 parts by mass of nitrogen atom-containing conductive polymer per 100 parts by mass of porous carbon material. The composite of the present invention is a composite where the peak area ratio (nitrogen/carbon ratio) of peak area derived from nitrogen atoms to peak area derived from carbon atoms in the spectrum by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy becomes 0.005 to 0.05.

Pneumatic tire

This disclosure relates to a vulcanizable layered composition comprising at least two layers and at least one tie layer. The first of the two layers comprises a fluid permeation prevention layer and the second comprises at least one high diene rubber. The tie layer comprises, a mixture, in parts by weight relative to 100 weight parts of rubber, of suitable amounts of: (1) epoxidized natural rubber; (2) at least one high diene elastomer; (3) at least one filler; (4) least one tackifier; and (5) a rubber curing system. The fluid permeation prevention layer preferably comprises suitable amounts of: (A) at least one thermoplastic engineering resin component, preferably one or more nylon resins; and (B) at least one elastomer component, preferably a brominated isobutylene p-methylstyrene copolymer/and where the total amount of (A) and (B) is not less than 30% by weight, and wherein (B) is dispersed in a vulcanized or partially vulcanized state, as a discontinuous phase, in a matrix of component (A).

Construction comprising tie layer

Provided is a rubber composition blended with an inorganic filler, the rubber composition having an improved dispersibility of the inorganic filler, as well as improved low heat generation property and tensile stress. The rubber composition includes a blend of: 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber; 1 to 150 parts by weight of an inorganic filler; and 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of a copolymer composed of a segment composed of a polyamide polymer and a segment composed of a diene polymer. The segment composed of the diene polymer has a number average molecular weight of not less than 10000.
