A rotary irradiation apparatus of an embodiment comprises: a rotating gantry; a superconducting electromagnet being installed in the rotating gantry and forming at least one of a deflecting magnetic field that deflects a trajectory of a charged particle beam and a convergent magnetic field that converges the charged particle beam to guide the charged particle beam to an object to be irradiated; a rotating gantry drive unit that drives/rotates the rotating gantry; and a control device that controls the rotating gantry drive unit to rotate and stop the rotating gantry, while the superconducting electromagnet is being excited and the charged particle beam is not irradiated.

The laser projection display device includes: a photo-sensor for detecting the quantity of laser light generated by the laser light source; and an image processing unit for processing a drive signal on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light and supplying the processed drive signal to a driving unit for the laser light source. Right after the dimming, the image processing unit supplies the drive signal to the driving unit for the laser light source on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light within a second execution cycle shorter than a first execution cycle which is the execution cycle used during the normal operation.

Laser projection display device, and method for controlling laser lightsource driving unit used for same

A laser projection display device includes: a laser light source drive unit; an attribute amount detection unit for detecting the attribute amount of a picture signal; a light sensor for measuring the light amounts of the laser light sources; and a temperature sensor for measuring the temperatures of the laser light sources. The laser projection display device is configured so that the current vs. light amount output characteristics of the laser light sources with a threshold current and current gain as a parameter are corrected in accordance with the load amount of the picture signal per frame if the change of the attribute amount exceeds a predefined amount; the light sources are driven at a predefined timing of the vertical blanking interval; controls the threshold currents and current gains in accordance with the light amounts; and the threshold currents and current gains are corrected on the basis of the measured temperatures.

Laser projection display device and laser drive control method

A video signal processing apparatus includes an equalizer for delaying an input color signal by an adjustable phase retardation. A low pass filter is operative for delaying the input color signal by an adjustable phase retardation. A phase detector is operative for detecting a difference between a phase of an output signal of the equalizer and a phase of an output signal of the low pass filter, and outputting a signal representative of the detected phase difference. The phase retardation provided by the equalizer and the phase retardation provided by the low pass filter are adjusted in response to the output signal of the phase detector to maintain the difference between the phase of the output signal of the equalizer and the phase of the output signal of the low pass filter at a predetermined value, for example, 90 degrees.
