A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to print an image on a sheet; a first exit path from which the sheet with the image printed thereon by the printing unit is discharged while being reversed; a second exit path from which the sheet with the image printed thereon by the printing unit is discharged without being reversed; and a switch member configured to be pivotably arranged so as to switch between the first exit path and the second exit path. The first exit path passes above a pivot center of the switch member, and the second exit path passes below the pivot center.

Inkjet apparatus

A cartridge is detachably mountable to a holder of an ink jet recording apparatus, so as to be freely reciprocatable to scan across a recording medium and record thereon by discharging ink. The cartridge is defined by a cartridge main body, and is provided with a recording head for discharging ink from plural nozzles formed in parallel on a lower face of the cartridge main body facing the recording medium. A front face of the cartridge main body is provided with an electrical connection portion having cartridge electrodes, which are electrically connectable with corresponding electrodes of the holder. A rear face opposite to the front face is provided with an ink connection portion connectable to corresponding supply ports which supply ink to the recording head from a main tank installed elsewhere on the ink jet recording apparatus. With the cartridge thus structured, the force exerted for connection to the supply port does not affect the precision with which the cartridge is mounted on the holder.

A recording apparatus for recording on a recording medium comprises a movable recording member facing a recording medium to record on said recording medium by serially moving with respect to the recording apparatus main body; a movement mechanism for serially moving said movable recording member; and plural flexible members for connecting the movable recording member and the recording apparatus main body, which are connected with the movable recording member from the sides opposite to each other with the movement path of the movable recording member between them, hence making it possible to reduce the influence on the positional precision of the movable recording member and the movement precision thereof as well, which is exerted by force given to the movable recording member by the flexible members.
