An imaging unit is configured with use of an imaging element including an image output pixel and a phase difference detection pixel. A control unit performs focus control based on image-plane phase difference information obtained using the phase difference detection pixel over a predetermined period, generates focus state change information indicating whether or not a change in a focus state is a monotonous change, and continues the focus control based on the image-plane phase difference information on the assumption of a large blur state in a case where the focus state change information indicates that a change in the focus state is a monotonous change. The control unit switches from the image-plane phase difference auto-focus operation to an auto-focus operation in a case where a change in the focus state is not a monotonous change. Thus, it becomes possible to perform a high-speed and high-quality auto-focus operation.

Imaging apparatus, focus control method, and focus determination method

Provided is a control apparatus including a focus detection control unit that sets a density of a focus detection point in a partial region specified, to be higher than a density of a focus detection point in a region excluding the partial region which corresponds to a position of an identified subject or a region specified by a user.

The formation of a resin layer, a metal layer and an insulating resin layer on an outer surface of a corrugated metal pipe for flowing a fluid provides a flexible pipe, whose corrugated metal pipe does not suffer from having apertures even with spark discharge by induced lightning.

Flexible pipe

A pipe joint comprising a pressing nut into which a flexible pipe is inserted, a joint body into which the pressing nut is partially inserted, a resilient means unlocked when pushed by a tip end of the flexible pipe, a sealing member, a retainer engaging the flexible pipe, and an engaging mechanism keeping the pressing nut at a predetermined position in the joint body; the engaging mechanism comprising a stop ring, an annular groove formed on an outer surface of the pressing nut for receiving the stop ring, pluralities of engaging grooves formed on an inner surface of the joint body for receiving the stop ring and communicating with each other; the stop ring engaging both of the annular groove and the first engaging groove before the connection of the flexible pipe is completed; and when the flexible pipe is pulled after completing the connection, the stop ring moving from the first engaging groove to the second engaging groove to draw the pressing nut from the joint body, so that the normal connection of the flexible pipe can be confirmed.

Pipe joint

A method of lining a channel can be provided which includes the steps of: installing at a work site a roll having wound thereon a rigid or semirigid plastic pipe shaped initially in the form of an approximately round tube and deformed from the initial form to a flat tubular form, paying off the pipe as softened by heating from the roll installed at the work site toward an inlet of the channel to be lined, and folding the paid-off flat pipe in two to a U shape at a position between the roll and the channel inlet. The U-shaped pipe is hardened by forced cooling from outside immediately after the folding step while being restricted in shape, then inserted into the channel while being thus hardened and thereafter restored to the initial form by being inflated with heat and pressure applied from inside, whereby a lining of improved quality can be formed with an improved work efficiency.
