A diagnosis apparatus for a valve system including a control valve, a servo valve for driving the control valve, and at least one servo module for providing a control signal based on an opening degree command value for the control valve to the servo valve is provided with: at least one opening degree detection part configured to detect an actual opening degree of the control valve; and a diagnosis part configured to acquire, from the opening degree detection part, a detected value of the actual opening degree of the control valve while a diagnostic opening degree command value is input to the at least one servo module, and diagnose an abnormality of the valve system on the basis of the detected value. The diagnostic opening degree command value changes in multiple steps between a maximum opening degree and a minimum opening degree through one or more intermediate opening degrees.

A power supply device according to an embodiment may include: a voltage generator configured to generate, from a commercial power supply, a first voltage and a second voltage lower than the first voltage; a voltage step-down part configured to decrease the first voltage to the second voltage; a bypass part configured to output the second voltage output from the voltage generator, with the voltage step-down part bypassed; and a controller configured, in a normal operation mode, to cause the voltage generator to generate and output the first voltage and to cause the voltage step-down part to operate and decrease the first voltage to the second voltage and output the second voltage, and configured, in a power-saving mode, to cause the voltage generator to generate the second voltage and output the second voltage through the bypass part without causing the voltage step-down part to operate.

A power supply device includes a rectification circuit that is supplied with AC power from an AC power supply, a power factor improvement circuit that boosts an output voltage of the rectification circuit, smooths a boosted voltage with a capacitor, and thereby generates a DC output voltage outputted to a load circuit, a DC-DC converter that steps down the DC output voltage to a prescribed first voltage, a DC output voltage detection circuit that detects whether or not the DC output voltage satisfies a prescribed condition, and a switch circuit that temporarily puts the power factor improvement circuit in an operating state by use of the first voltage each time the prescribed condition is satisfied in a period in which the power factor improvement circuit is in a stopped state due to an energy saving mode of the load circuit.

A power supply device includes a rectifying/smoothing circuit that receives an AC voltage input and converts the AC voltage into a DC voltage by rectification and smoothing, an AC voltage cut-off detection circuit that detects a cut-off of the AC voltage, and a voltage processing circuit that is connected to a post-stage of the rectifying/smoothing circuit wherein the post-stage means a downstream side from the rectifying/smoothing circuit and operates when the AC voltage cut-off detection circuit has detected a cut-off of the AC voltage. The AC voltage cut-off detection circuit is provided with a signal transmitting element that is connected to the post-stage of the rectifying/smoothing circuit, and receives power supplied from the rectifying/smoothing circuit and sends a signal to the voltage processing circuit when the AC voltage is cut off.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, first and second power terminals both coupled to a power supply, a fixing unit including a heater, a first switch, a first detector, a second switch, and a controller. The first switch includes a triac and is turned on and off on the basis of a first control signal. The first detector generates a first detection signal corresponding to the turning on and off of the first switch. The second switch includes a relay and is turned on and off on the basis of a second control signal. The controller generates the first control signal, and generates, on the basis of the first detection signal, the second control signal. Each of the heater, the first switch, and the second switch is provided in a power supply path that couples the first power terminal and the second terminal to each other.

Image forming apparatus that suppresses influence of a heater triac malfunction

An image forming apparatus includes an image supporting member; a belt; a belt drive unit for rotating the belt; an acceleration and deceleration information storage unit; and a belt speed control unit. The belt speed control unit determines a difference between a first moving amount corresponding to rotations of the image supporting member from a stationary state thereof to a specific speed and a second moving amount corresponding to rotations of the belt from a stationary state thereof to the specific speed. The belt speed control unit controls the belt drive unit, so that a third moving amount corresponding to rotations of the belt from the specific speed to the stationary state thereof becomes larger than a fourth moving amount corresponding to rotations of the image supporting member from the specific speed to the stationary state thereof according to the difference.

A drum/belt drive starting procedure simultaneous starts the rotation of photosensitive drums and the conveyance of a belt. A drum/belt driving time calculating procedure sets a rotational drive stop time of each photosensitive drum and a conveyance drive stop time of the conveying belt on the basis of a detection result of a reference mark detecting unit. A drum/belt drive stopping procedure stops the rotation of each photosensitive drum and the conveyance of the conveying belt on the basis of a calculation result of the drum/belt driving time calculating procedure. Rotational phase differences of every plural photosensitive drums are set to a predetermined value in the state where rubbing with the belt is small.
