A DC power supply and distribution system is obtained that improves power distribution efficiency at a low-load factor while suppressing overall upsizing. The DC power supply and distribution system includes a main AC/DC converter and an auxiliary AC/DC converter connected in parallel to the main AC/DC converter and having a rated power capacity smaller than that of the main AC/DC converter, wherein when the absolute value of the DC output power is smaller than the absolute value of a threshold power set smaller than the rated power capacity of the auxiliary AC/DC converter, a first switching command for switching from the first operation mode to the second operation mode is generated for a power conversion unit.

DC power supply and distribution system

A power converter of a power conversion apparatus includes any one or more of a functional module in which a rectifier unit rectifying an externally supplied alternating-current voltage and an inverter unit converting a direct-current voltage into alternating-current power are combined, a functional module in which a converter unit converting an alternating-current voltage into a direct-current voltage and an inverter unit converting a direct-current voltage converted by the converter unit into alternating-current power are combined, and a functional module in which an inverter unit converting a direct-current voltage into alternating-current power is provided. The functional module has a cooler cooling a semiconductor component.

Power conversion apparatus

A method and apparatus for controlling the output voltage of a boost converter including a number n of bridge devices connected in series, each bridge device including plural switches and a capacitor. The method and apparatus provide control of the switches according to a selected periodical matrix pattern including a number N of time intervals, N being a positive integer greater than 2, and in that in each time interval, the voltage between the input and the output of each ith bridge device with i from one to n, is equal to one of a null value, a number ki times a positive value, and minus the number ki times the positive value, the positive value being the result of the division of the output voltage of the boost converter including the n bridge devices by the number of time intervals N of the periodical matrix pattern.

Method and an apparatus for controlling the output voltage of a boost converter composed of plural bridge devices

In a power conversion device which performs DC/DC conversion, an inverter circuit (), which is formed of one or more single-phase inverters () and () connected in series to each other, is connected in series to a DC power supply () in its subsequent stage. In further subsequent stage, a smoothing capacitor () connected to the inverter circuit () via a rectifier diode (), and a shorting switch () which bypasses the smoothing capacitor () are provided. The shorting switch () is switched ON to charge capacitors () and () included in the single-phase inverter () and (), respectively, whereas the shorting switch () is switched OFF to discharge the capacitors () and (), whereby the voltage of the smoothing capacitor () is controlled.

Power conversion device

Power generated by a solar battery of thin-film type is stepped up to a predetermined DC voltage by a step-up chopper circuit, and the predetermined DC voltage is converted into three-phase AC power by an inverter circuit, and the three-phase AC power is supplied to an AC power supply system via an output DC voltage circuit. The solar battery is not grounded, and a negative electrode thereof has a floating capacitance between the negative electrode and the ground. The AC power supply system is configured by three-phase star-connection, and the neutral point is grounded. The output DC voltage circuit includes three batteries, and the batteries are provided, for the respective phases, between the AC power supply system and a sine wave filter connected to the AC output side of the inverter circuit. Therefore, it is possible to prevent acceleration of the deterioration of the solar battery.

Power conditioner for photovoltaic power generation

A power conversion apparatus includes a first single-phase inverter that uses as a DC power source a first DC voltage that is boosted from a solar light voltage by a boosting chopper circuit. The first single-phase inverter is arranged between two single-phase inverters that use second DC power sources that are supplied from the first DC power source. AC sides of the respective single-phase inverters are connected in series. A power conditioner thus configured provides an output voltage using the sum of the generated voltages of the respective single-phase inverters. Chopper circuits are connected between the first DC power source and the second DC power sources, and power is supplied to the second DC power sources from the first DC power source via switching devices in the single-phase inverters.
