For a substrate of a coil component, there are arranged a plurality of through-holes; the pattern-wiring is provided with a loop-shaped portion surrounding the circumference of a center hole which penetrates the substrate a pair of end portions which extend from that loop-shaped portion; and the neighboring two through-holes within the plurality of through-holes penetrate the substrate in a state that at least a part of each of the openings thereof superimpose each of the pair of end portions and is connected electrically with each of the end portions. In addition, the opening of one of the through-holes at one of the end portions within the pair of end portions is provided at a biased position close to the other of the end portions with respect to the center of the one of the end portions in the intersecting-direction.

Coil component

A transformer-type compact and thin coil device having a high coupling degree between a primary coil and a secondary coil, and a transformer device in which a plurality of sets of the transformer-type coil devices are incorporated. A coil device includes a first winding portion in which a primary and secondary coil wires are wound in bifilar form so as to arrange them alternately in a plane, a second winding portion in which a secondary coil wire is wound to arrange it in a plane parallel to the plane of the first winding portion, and a secondary coil connecting portion which connects an inner diameter portions of the secondary coil wires of the first and second winding portions. A transformer device is formed by incorporating a plurality of sets of the transformer-type coil devices each formed in above manner.

Coil device, composite coil device, and transformer device

A high-voltage discharge lamp operating device capable of reducing the size and the weight of a DC-DC converter circuit, and accordingly of the operating device without generating any magnetic saturation of a transformer core part even when igniting a lamp in the operating device for operating a HID head lamp for a vehicle. A PWM control unit () comprises a power control unit () which receives a voltage detection signal and controls the duty of the signal waveform of a PWM control signal, an error amplifier () which compares the output from the power control unit () with the reference voltage and outputs an error level signal, an oscillation frequency control means () for outputting a rectangular wave signal so as to realize a high frequency for a predetermined period from the ignition of a HID lamp () and a low frequency after the elapse of a predetermined period, a triangular wave oscillator () which converts the rectangular wave signal into the triangular signal, and a comparator () which compares the error level signal with the triangular wave signal and outputs to a switching element () the PWM control signal on H-level during the period in which the triangular wave signal is high.
