A network system comprises a communication facility, and a management apparatus. The communication facility includes a wireless base station, a data processing apparatus, and communication processing apparatuses. The management apparatus manages resource management information for managing, as a resource, a value of an item to be set for the communication facility to generate a network slice for each of characteristics of the network slice. The management apparatus generates the network slice, refers, based on a characteristic of the network slice, to the resource management information to determine the value of the item and transmits, to the communication facility, first setting information for setting the determined value of the item. The management apparatus generates a transfer rule by associating identification information on a wireless terminal and identification information on the data processing apparatus with each other and transmits, to the communication facility, second setting information for setting the transfer rule.

Network system and network slice generation method

From among a U-plane and a C-plane, the U-plane is installed in a first user site which has a base station, and the C-plane is installed in a C-plane site (any site that is not a user site). A system sets a U-plane inter-site path which is an inter-site communication path that connects a first user site with a second user site via a wide area network, and a C-plane inter-site path which is an inter-site communication path that connects a C-plane site with the first user site via the wide area network. In addition, the system sets an in-site communication path which is a communication path within the first user site and which connects to an inter-site communication path. A U-plane inter-site path is an inter-site communication path via which data is transmitted or received by a U-plane. A C-plane inter-site path is an inter-site communication path via which a signal is transmitted or received by a C-plane.

Provided is a network management system for managing a plurality of packet relay devices, the network management system comprising: the plurality of packet relay devices constituting networks; and a display device for displaying configurations of the networks, in a case where it is determined that a virtual packet relay device identifier of the virtual packet relay device that is assigned a second-network identifier associated with the extracted second-network identifier is registered in a first-network configuration table, a first-work identifying module is configured to associate a first-network identifier that is associated with the virtual packet relay device identifier with the obtained configuration information, and register the association between the first-network identifier and the obtained configuration information in the first-network configuration table.

A network management/apparatus connected to a plurality of packet relay apparatuses constituting a group through a network includes an energy saving level calculation unit for calculating an energy saving level of each of the packet relay apparatuses on the basis of a CPU usage ratio of the packet relay apparatus managed or a difference between the present energy saving level and the energy saving level of minimum guarantee of the packet relay apparatus, and an energy saving function setting unit for setting an energy saving function of the packet relay apparatuses on the basis of the energy saving level calculated by the energy saving level calculation unit.

Network management apparatus

To analyze traffic at an application level, a stream according to TCP or SCTP is required to be reconstructed and to be analyzed. When a packet is transferred to analyzing equipment using a port mirroring function with which a router and a switch are provided, transferred traffic volume increases and exceeds the throughput of the analyzing equipment. As only a part of packets configuring a stream is transferred to the analyzing equipment in transfer to the analyzing equipment using a packet sampling function, analysis at the application level is impossible. To solve the problem, when a packet communication unit recognizes a stream start packet, samples a stream initiated by the packet on a condition and at a rate respectively determined beforehand and generates a condition for copying the packet based upon information of both ends of the stream included in the packet, packets sampled in units of stream can be transferred to the analyzing equipment.

Packet communications unit

In a packet transmission router used in a VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) network having a VR (Virtual Router) function, when virtual routers VR are realized by the VRRP, the routing control information that each VR manages is prevented from being mixed with that of other VR. When an active packet transmission router transmits a VRRP packet to a standby packet transmission router, an identifier indicating which virtual router belongs to the VRRP packet is added to the VRRP packet before the transmission of the VRRP packet.

VRRP technology keeping VR confidentiality

A packet transmission method is provided when there occurs a double fault in working paths of a 1:N configuration and when packets thereon are to be bypassed from the working paths to a recovery path, the packet can be transferred to the recovery path while retaining packet priority classes or VPNs on the recovery path. If faults occur in both a first line on which is set a first label-switched path and a second line on which is set a second label-switched path, packets which should flow respectively through the first and second label-switched paths are bypassed to the recovery path. At this time, different labels are affixed to the packets such that the thus-labeled packets are transferred to the recovery path.
