A vehicle controller includes a first abrupt deceleration determining unit configured to determine an abrupt deceleration state of a vehicle in a first manner, and a second abrupt deceleration determining unit configured to determine the generation of the abrupt deceleration state of the vehicle in a second manner having a required time for the determination shorter in comparison with that of the first manner, wherein any one of the first manner and the second manner is selected according to a vehicle speed of the vehicle or a road surface friction coefficient and used for determining the abrupt deceleration of the vehicle, the second manner is used in a region where the vehicle speed or the road surface friction coefficient is lower, and the first manner is used in a region where the vehicle speed or the road surface friction coefficient is higher.

Vehicle controller

A speed change control system for a hybrid vehicle comprised of a first motor-generator, a differential mechanism that distributes a power of an engine to the first motor-generator and to an output member and that changes an engine speed in accordance with a speed of the first motor-generator, and a second motor-generator that exchanges a torque with any of wheels. The speed change control system comprises: a first power control means that outputs a command for changing an engine power in a direction to expedite a change in an engine speed, at the beginning of a speed change for changing the engine speed stepwise; a first speed control means that continues controls of the first and the second motor-generators as before the speed change, during a period from a point at which the first power control means outputs the command for changing the engine power to a point at which a response delay of the engine elapses; a second speed control means that controls the first motor-generator in a manner such that the engine speed is changed in a direction to be changed by the change in the engine power, after a lapse of the response delay of the engine; and a second power control means that outputs a command for changing the engine power to a power to be achieved after the speed change, when the engine speed is changed substantially to a target speed to be achieved after the speed change.

Speed change control system and speed change control method for hybrid vehicle

A driving force control system for a vehicle having a mechanism for changing an engine speed continuously. The driving force control system basically controls said mechanism in a manner such that the engine speed is adjusted to optimize fuel economy. The driving force control system is configured to determine an index representing a demand to enhance agility of behavior of the vehicle based on an actual behavior of the vehicle or an amount of operation carried out by a driver to cause said behavior. An upper limit value of the engine speed of the case in which a drive demand is increased is determined on the basis of the index, and the upper limit value is set to the higher value with an increase in the index representing the demand to enhance agility of behavior of the vehicle.

Driving force control system for vehicle

A driving force control device for controlling engine torque generated by an internal combustion engine mounted on a vehicle and the engine revolution speed of the internal combustion engine based on the operation amount of driving force request operation on the vehicle to control the driving force of the vehicle is characterized by executing revolution fluctuation suppression control that suppresses fluctuations in engine revolution speeds when the operating point of the internal combustion engine in accordance with the engine torque and the engine revolution speed is within an optimum fuel economy range being a region set with a specified hysteresis width relative to an optimum fuel economy line of the internal combustion engine; accordingly, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the whole driving system.

Driving force control device

A control apparatus is applied to a vehicle that has shift modes including the continuously variable shift mode, in which a ratio of the rotational speed of a power source to the rotational speed of a drive shaft is continuously adjusted, and the stepped shift mode, in which the ratio is fixed. The control apparatus includes a control unit that controls the torque that is output from the power source to make the time that is required to bring the drive torque of the drive shaft from a predetermined value to a target value in the stepped shift mode equal to the time that is required to bring the drive torque of the drive shaft from the predetermined value to the target value in the continuously variable shift mode. In this way, the difference in drivability between the continuously variable shift mode and the stepped shift mode is minimized.

Vehicle control apparatus and vehicle control method

A drive force control system includes a shifting demand judging means that judges whether or not a torque capacity of the clutch is relatively high, and a condition for changing the speed change ratio of the continuously variable transmission stepwise is satisfied; and a first shifting means that reduces the torque capacity of the clutch before changing the speed change ratio of the continuously variable transmission, to synchronize a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine with an input speed of the continuously variable transmission to be attained after changing the speed change ratio thereof while changing the speed change ratio of the continuously variable transmission, and to increase the torque capacity of the clutch after changing the speed change ratio of the continuously variable transmission, when changing the speed change ratio of the continuously variable transmission stepwise.

An operation assisting system, which is capable of adjusting an operational feeling to operate an operating device to an actual resultant physical quantity, thereby mitigating uncomfortable feeling of the driver. The operation assisting system includes a drive unit for generating a power for driving a vehicle, an operating device for controlling the power transmitted from the drive unit to a wheel of the vehicle, a reaction force generating mechanism for generating a reaction force against the operated operating device, and a reaction force controller for controlling the reaction force generated by the reaction force generating mechanism exponentially, with respect to a change in a force applied to the operating device to operate the operating device, a change in an operating amount of the operating device, or a velocity to operate the operating device.
